LEMMY!!!!!

according to one legend when a journalist asked Lemmy why he has such a hoarse voice Lemmy replied "i drink only cold Smirnoff vodka" :-D

he is actually big fan of Smirnoff, i met a guy who was body guard to many prominent singers including Lemmy, he has many photos of himself with Lemmy, Nazareth, Fleetwood Mac and others, and he also introduced me to Supermax founding father Kurt Hauenstein... i planned meet Kurt with my dauhter who is big fan of old Supermax when sad news about Kurt's sudden death reached us :frowning2:

Remembering Kurt who made the 80s a great musical time:

Kim, we enjoy music, all things about H200 were well said, most of us own and love H200, and it is about time to show what music sounds well on H200, enjoy :-D

in one word: NO

in a few words: K3003 is closer to 1+2, another league. i heard both and i own 1+2.

H200 is VERY good sounding IEM, just stop comparing to and to.... and instead go read reviews and decide if description of its sonics is what you looking for...

conservative man? in which sense? i am not conservative at all but i love H200.

Gintaras, appreciate the feedback but there's no need to tell me what to do.  Comparing and rating iems is an objective way to evaluate whether an iem is worth purchasing over another.  90% of the content on head-fi probably consists of comparisons which I enjoy reading.  Joker rates the K3003 highly for sound quality so a comparison with the H200 to me would be inevitable because they both have dual BAs and a dynamic driver.

If the H200 were close in sound quality to the K3003 that would be really exciting but now that you've explained that they're in a different league I understand that I get what I pay for in the end.  My conservative approach is to buy iems around the $200 - $300 because they seem to provide best value, bang for buck.

Wish I was in a position to audition all the iems on my wish list but unfortunately the closest iem store that sells quality iems is 1,000 miles away (The Proclaimers would be willing to walk the distance but I would have to get on an airplane).

The local stores around my area sell skullcandy, low-end sennheiser, bose, you get the picture.

Maybe you're right that an appreciation thread is not the best place to request a comparison because the responses could be bias although the short feedback provided so far has answered my question and confirmed that a full K3003 vs H200 comparison would not be fair given the big price difference.

mate sorry, i did not want to push anything on you.

perhaps you must ask people with extensive experience with both. i auditioned K3003 briefly from another head-fier who kindly brought them when collecting a touring 1+2 unit from me. from our impressions, his and mine, K3003 had a similar signature and sounded in many aspects as good. i preferred 1+2 for more crisp sound and taught bass, he preferred less aggressive more laid back sig of K3003 despite liking 1+2 a lot too. he also briefly auditioned my H200 and we agreed that H200 is very interesting IEM and excellent proposition for 250$.

yeah, price difference is huge, so if you divide sound per buck paid i suppose both IEMs will be even but sonically they are different leagues of course :-D

i am listening now to RDB+V1 on BH + C3 and i can say V1 sounds cleaner and more detailed compared to H200... still H200 holds its own offering mellow, enveloping sound communicating a fair amount of detail and good (but not great) dynamic. perhaps surprisingly H200 has a bit better bass extension for my liking, V1 despite having very airy presentation lacks stronger attack and punch. i find V1 brighter and more forward sounding, sometimes overly aggressive in trebles which can be too hot, this is more mid centric compared to 1+2, still plenty of musical information, spacious airy stage especially good 2D and instrument placement goes further away is what makes V1 shine. this is so good sounding that i now begin to think against selling it, V1 is nice IEM which shines with acoustic and small chamber music like i always said.

now what else i must say? everything has its price.

Just got a pair for the H200 in and while I do appreciate the macro detail and plentiful bass (basshead at heart here), I can't help but notice the suckout in the midrange. It's almost to the point that I think these would be my perfect IEMs if it were fixed.

Dunno, gonna keep listening for later review.

Just curious since it would make a big difference, to me at least, did you really mean macro or was it a typo/autocorrected from micro?

Macro detail would fall tangent to a presentational aspect of an IEM imo.
