btw, what i find a bit too much is how gladly people praise iPods.... my daughter has couple of them and they are far worse when you need to organize your files which have no image embed and tags... not mention you need spend a lot of time before your collection of songs will appear nicely on iPod. add to that the need to use BOGUS iTunes software which i personally HATE and would use only for system update on our iphones and ipads in house. as much as love apple products as much i hate iTunes which is worst ever nightmare and freaking annoying crap.

uh..ohhhh.... sorry for this morning rant

Actually the SQ of iPods (classic or touch) is not that bad but they are still far behind Colorfly C3.
The only thing I like about iPod is the file management (iTune) and a very good U/I.

Hey welcome to the club!
Sorry Ogg Vorbis is not spoken here.
FLAC WAV APE & MP3 are the chosen formats.

The C3 will support 64GB but you'll be better suited with Class 4 32GB cards instead. Class 10 works but there is no speed advantage on the C3 for the extra cost.

Be very cautious of uSD cards from eBay there are a lot of fakes, better to buy them from a store instead.

I started with iPods as well and learned very quickly how iTunes does everything on an album basis. So I adopted a very OCD ID3 tag methodology very early in the game. :D
Tag & Rename is the best software I have found for tagging and artwork. It uses Amazon's databases when searching .com .de .uk .fr and tracktype.org

Well I sorted out the OV thing anyway (they do work) but now interested in this - every time I open a folder rather it bringing up the first track I get two little dots and have to move down one to start playing - see attached url pic - Is that normal or am I missing something ?

Just confirming my 32GB Class 10 card is working without any problems on both Colorfly CK4 and C3. I purchased from a local Australian seller. He'd sold over 1700 of them so I assumed I was pretty safe. $23.95

I bring to you.... the MASTER!

Put Rockbox on the Fuze, and then it may work.

What an appalling display. Navigating through a large library must be horrible.

Its not an iPod (and I am a massive apple fanboy) but its quirky and I am getting used to it quick but it does beat me why there werent dedicated buttons on side for next track and volume. Still it is a lovely player of music.

No problem here with iTunes.  However, I use a Mac and I think the user experience is different than with it on a Windows system.  I simply made folders (playlists) and used those to specify what I would listen to.  Never had any real trouble with it, except for having to go into GetInfo and change names sometimes when I had a two-disc compilation that had similar numbered tracks (disc 1, 1,2, 3, disc 2 1,2,3 and so forth).

To our most recent poster, the past two pages of this thread discuss types of micro cards- should take you about 1.5 minutes to get your answer from the 3-4 of us speaking about it.  Haven't tried Ogg, I would assume that, if it's not listed as a format at the Colorfly home site, that it won't work.  Or you could drag one file over onto your device and see if it works.  Enjoy your new device.

Tolldragon, i started with iRiver long ago when there were no iPods but CD players able to read MP3. later switched from iRiver to Cowon. gladly i avoided iPods and i can explain why i say this. first of all i was annoyed to hear iPod sound quality being equal to Sony cell phone walkman player with phone earbuds. when i first discovered this i was very angry because i wanted buy iPod but paying so much to have cell phone player sound quality was bit too much for me. later i switched my home systems all to Macs, we have four Macs in our house plus iPhones, iPads, time capsules and similar. as much as i love Mac OSX i developed hate for iTunes. why? because stupid program does everything she wants without even asking me. importing and exporting takes time, no flexibility with loseless and no playback outside Apple systems and via DAC OSX downsamples loseless.
