Meier Audio Daccord

A USB power injector only applies to devices that run off the the USB power alone.

Yes, and the question is whether the C-MEDIA CM6631 USB circuit in the Daccord does that. The next logical step would be to use a USB cable that only carries the data signal from the computer.

I have a slight problem with my Daccord and am wondering if anyone can relate.

I use the USB input and Windows 8.1. When waking the PC up from sleep the DAC has no input whatsoever. All LEDs apart from the power LED are off and there's no sound. The only way to get sound back is either to reconnect the USB cable every time which will wear out the jack or restart the PC which is time consuming and a general hassle. Disabling and reenabling the sound device doesn't work. Switching around inputs on the DAC doesn't work. Hibernating the PC instead of putting it to sleep does work but it's pretty much equal to a full shutdown anyway.

Can anyone think of a way to get this to work? Newer drivers for the USB receiver with better W8 support could maybe work but I've no idea if they exist.

This sounds like a job for Super Jan!

I know that T1 should be good match for Daccord/Classic , but I think LCD2s are even better with this combo.

I sent my LCD2s back because I loved em enough to upgrade, but yeah, I was thrilled with how well they sounded on the Meier gear. I"m hoping that the LCD-X will sound equally as good or better.

Man he makes some good stuff.

Yeah he sure does. I will have this amp and dac for a long time...absolutely no desire to even consider upgrading. Not saying there isn't better gear out there to be had, but at this price point I don't know what more someone could want.

I use the schiit stack for planars but for iems, Classic/Daccord stack is where my money would go. Saving up for the combo in black. Perfect fidelity for Re-272's.

Nice...I was playign around with both my Atrio IEMs and my 1350s on the Meier stack and I couldn't believe how far they scaled up. I had never really thought to even try it but I'm glad I did. I can't get over how black the background is on Jan's amps. Both my Jazz and the Classic are absolutely dead quiet even if I crank the gain up.

Mine is waiting at the office (together with the Classic)... won't be able to get them till tomorrow :frowning2:

Congrats! It'll be worth the wait...what phones are you pairing with the stack?
