Rush song. Come on make it harder. We're Canadians here what did ya expect.

Alright, I coulda done a bit better. Song being 'The Necromancer' off of Caress of Steel, one of my favorite prog albums. 'The Fountain of Lamneth' is such a beautiful work of art IMO.

I do heartily put forward a suggestion for November.

Nomax November.

Could use his avatar or the AKG 812 shot.
There was a dedicated thread started for "Our Fearless Leader" Nomax, but since the demise of the thread it is in limbo @ just the OP #1.

Anyone NOT familiar with Nomax then get familiar. 50 pages of magic. You may find it worthy.

... Transmogrifying out

PS: it won't take long before the newer 812 thread that is now up goes to crap also.
the original one , maybe I could get it desktop published and bound nicely in Salmon Leather, yes there is such a thing it's the softest leather ever.
I do know a world class book binder, I could ask. Maybe it will be a manuscript on par with Lao Tzu, Hui Hai, Wei Wu Wei, and Nisargadatta.

MichaelXray can be considered his protege

Stealthily attacking
Warren slays his foe
The horses are free to run now
From labyrinths below
The Wraith of Necromancer
Shadows through the sky
Another land to darken
With evil prism eye

+1 Internet to the first to get the reference.

Rush!

sorry man I don't know the ropes in here, haven't earned my say yet. I am a mere bystander trying to grok such ineffeable greatness of this Avatar of the Month concept.

Nomax bowed out later on , was others that ruined the Nomaxian splendor later on.  ( typical isn't it )  What the heck  is this Dragonball Z  phew that's Namekian. Close

Speaking of MAn did you see MAN Man is playing there soon? Also Melt Banana!!!!!!! That might be worth a trip. I'll go post some in the music section.

S'alright we ain't no troll simpleton - you'll get the hang of it. Key thing - post whatever the heck you want, random, otherwise, share stuff, banter, discuss, food, hype, food. Free-for-all, and that's really what this thread is about. There is some seriousness during the end of the month when we wrap up the theme and start the new one - otherwise free-for-all.

I'm extremely late for this since I'm supposed to do this once every 100 pages and you can see that we're already 1/3 of the next 100 pages in, but usually I have a compilation - http://www.head-fi.org/t/630723/themed-monthly-avatar-committee-tmac-discussion-thread/7185#post_9741153
The last one has a link to all of the previous compilations, so you can get a sense of how we talk around here.
If you're just visiting, that's cool. Make sure to drop some dust those, these phools sorely need it.

We all know the Austrians are green with antennas on their heads and originate from another planet...
no offense intended to any Austrians.

Hmm, we get a lot more action in this thread when we talk about ice cream than when we talk about sharks.

I think there's some sort of deep psychological message in there somewhere...

Not that deep.

I thought Nomax was the stuff they made race car drivers' suits out of  so they wouldn't burn to death?

Nomax is the stuff everything is made of! You'll see!!!!!!  the farce that is the Hadron Collider ( actually a hyperspacial device ) will never detect the Nomax particle/wave.

His watchers are watching.
Wayne took this shot if you recall he had a bridge shot, so I am not fibbing. Miraculously these showed up AFTER he checked his images.

Could this possibly be the greatest thread in the innerwebs?????

I think so, and all I need to see was a couple sentences from TwinQY's summary link he posted a couple posts back.

I've never played bridge. Isn't that something old ladies play?

I have played Euchre. I don't recall ever seeing an old lady play that. Nor have I seen a cat play it. If you're trying to avoid old ladies and cats, Euchre might be your game. If you live in Michigan. Otherwise, you've probably barely even heard of it.

Euchre must be a Northern Midwest game - I knew some guys from Minnesota that played Euchre at lunch. I had never heard of it before that.

Pretty much, yep. According to the Euchre article on Wikipedia, it's spreading across the country (even to California). However, the tone of that article seems to be selling the game, and lots of portions are marked "original research," so I don't really know if it's true. It usually shows up on those "You know you're from Michigan when..." lists, and I'm sure it's probably on similar lists for other Midwestern states.
