T-Peos H-100 Hybrid IEM Appreciation Thread

If I can find it, there IS some scientific/technical name for that actual distortion of sound perceptions, to do with  A/b swapping.  Can't win no matter where you turn

NOT saying he's doing "too much" or messing any grey matter up either hahaha.

Well I ran them through FiiO E10 using VLC media player, they sounded ok to me, not near as full bodied as my S9 or C3 though. A touch nasal "a touch" but nothing of concern imo. Very dynamic though with this E10 right now.
I think ekes to busy switching between GR07 and H-100 messing his brain up.

Ha. As I told you earlier, I can start to enjoy them after a while if I listen to it exclusively. If I listen to any of my other iems for even a minute, the glass is shattered, and everything is back to square one where the H-100 sounds wrong again.

It's strange because with after a week with the Etymotic HF3, my GR07 sounded boomy and uncontrolled. It took some time to readjust. However, no matter how long I listen to the H-100, it still sounds off if I use any of my other iems for even a second.

Still, don't let me scare you off if you love EDM. This is definitely one of the best I've heard for that genre due to its detail retrieval and soundstage.

-H2O, I think I'm beginning to figure out your ideal signature. I still think you should check out the Etymotics.

Well it's not something I practice to often I can't stand quickly hammering between my players input jacks constantly.

I tend to stick with one IEM, spend sometime with it and learn it's technical ability. The first day or so with H-100 was different coming from GR07 there's no doubt about that.

It's just a completely different texture and timbre.

We need to keep feeding you EDM eke along with Kayla albums. Unfortunately I'm running out of options.

I'm glad you see some of what I am in this IEM, H-100 signature is something I have been searching for about eight months, there's not much I could ask for improvement personally, about as close as I can find.... possibly vocals having some of GR07's bite, It excels in imaging, soundstage, air, separation, clarity, depth, transparency just to name a few attributes. I always enjoyed the sound of BA drivers but sub-bass roll off was a major downfall, I'd crave for a dynamic bass response within that BA signature. H-100 gives me that, and you have to admit the sub-bass and clarity in the low end surpass quite a lot of others out there especially in this price range. Well anything I have tried.

Etymotics maybe something I could consider though the lacking bass constantly comes up leaving alarm bells.

The bass is that good to me on H-100 it's slowly turning me back into bass-head. Not so much for quantity but the quality and texture it provides.

See, that's just details. The H-100 delivers here in spades, but it just shoves rawness in your face and, unless a track is mastered to sound good on such a system, it's just noise to me.

I love the GR07 because it gives my music to me with all the details you could want, but it doesn't shove it in your face. It transmits the atmosphere of a track, ANY track, and lets you get lost in it. For instruments or vocals, it doesn't only convey the notes, but also its ambiance. It's its ability to do everything right and almost nothing wrong that has made me stick with it for so long. Call me a fanboy if you wish, but that's the truth my ears tell me.

I think it's this difference in our listening preferences, H2O, that allows you to like the TF10, while I find it to be trash. EDM is basically details thrown around the soundstage, which is probably why the H-100 works so well with it.

But although GR07 is smooth and does a lot right, it's missing that edge and crispness H-100 gives me, the clarity bounce, energy. I've tried switching back and it sounds closed in and congested not to mention muffled over, even the TF10 which I think's below GR07 anyway is sounding like crap compared. they both sound closed in squashy and congested, it feels like someones stuffed two hankies inside the nozzel and you're trying to hear everything through that inside. It's like saying yes., GR07 suits every genre but do you want to listen to every genre at a lower SQ? The timbre suits every genre but it won't sound as good overall. To me H-100 floors GR07 in two many areas, I'm sorry but it does, it's like moving to a whole new tier for me. I'd say yes GR07 is a better IEM but it's more than that, it's clear to me H-100 is a much higher resolution.

Different folks, different strokes.

How does the H100 do vocals?

Man this forum is becoming worse and worse for my wallet haha...

OK so I have queried about the price through email to them - one question though, as I am in the market for my first hybrid and was very close in purchasing AF78, can someone who has heard both H-100 and AF78 tell me how are the two compared?

I have both. hate af78 on any source and amp (terrible earphones with no redeeming qualities), like h-100 on clip+

eke, you mentioned that you didn't like the TF10. Can you describe what you find off about it? And how do you compare the TF10 to the H100?

Mainly the mids and rolled off sub-bass turned me off from the TF10. Then there was the metallic sheen that's over the sound.

It wouldn't be fair to compare both, as I haven't had the TF10 for over 6 months. H2O should be able to help.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. so it's looking to be $151.00 US shipped? Which is $27 cheaper then ebay (minus the B-100)
That's an excellent deal for this kind of sound.

What do you mean minus the B-100?

I'm really wanting to order some from them directly but don't know if I'll be missing out on something if I go through eBay instead. :frowning2:

If you order on eBay, you might get a free bonus B-100! I say "might" because it's not stated anywhere you will get it, and I guess they'll run out of B-100 gift stock eventually. If you wnat that deal, it's better to ask the seller first if the B-100 will be included...

The cheaper price when ordering straight from the manufacturer is just for the H-100 unit alone, wihtout any bonus giffts! Still with EMS shipping, though...

Ah ok! Thanks for the clarification mate.

Yeah I have already read the eBay listing like 3 times and didin't notice anything specified about the B-100s.

Wrote an email to the manufacturer at this address: swp@swpshinwoo.com about an hour ago asking about possible delivery to the UK. Has anyone else got these to UK yet?

Hopefully I will receive a reply within the next day or so, will come back and tell you guys what they say.

PS. This is my 100th post. Woo, I won't be labeled a n00b anymore :D

Since it's weekend and you're contacting the manufacturer directly, it's better to wait for a reply only on monday! In my experience, they are a bit slow to answer to emails... I'm not sure if he got them already, but Swimsonny is in the UK and he ordered a pair.
