Sell Beats, (yes Beats) and buy HiFiMan RE-262?

Sorry for not putting this in the last post but i just remembered they are all different adapters.  1 should work best when worn down and 1 for over ear, the other 2 should be balanced amp ones, I think they are colour co-ordinated but have no idea which one is which :p

The tips still suck though dammit....haha

OP...remember that if you get these. It worked like a charm. I'm straight out of my iPhone4 right now and it's sounding good, but these things do benefit greatly with an amp. So far, the cMoy seems like a winner too.

Think I'm gonna get the FiiO E11. Trying to be a little conservative on spending with this portable rig. Saving money for my main rig (HE-400 and better amp)

Yeah, I can understand. For what it's worth, the cMoy isn't much more and you can get them actually alot cheaper. For a standard cMoy you can grab one for about $30. Mine was more because of the bass boost and it has removable opamps so I can roll those if I wanted. It was only about $10 more than the E11 which I was also considering. Thing that sold me on the cMoy was that nearly all reviews said they have a warm signature and very vocals/mids friendly...I'll definitely back that up.

Don't get me wrong though...I don't think the E11 would be a bad decision. I have never tried one. For all I know, it's equal or better than my cMoy...someday I'll probably give one a try.

I haven't decided 100% with the E11. So I will definitely consider the cMoy. Anyone know what would be a good way to carry my IEMs, amp, and source?

Hahaha first IEMs and you chose the one with the most tips issues! I believe someone recommended Sony Hybrids for these? Hope you eventually find a good tip for these awesome IEMs

You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? Then who the hell else are you talkin' to? You talkin' to me? Well I'm the only one here. Who the f@#% do you think you're talking to?

Sorry, couldn't resist. But yeah, I didn't realize they had the issue. It's certainly not been the most pleasant experience. I can really tell those IEM's have potential. They need some burn-in and yeah, pretty sure new tips will be needed as well for a better seal and better comfort.

YA I'M TALKING TO YOU. YOU GOT A PROBLEM?!

New tips are a definite. Just don't expect TOO much from the "burn-in", as I find burn-in differences to be subtle. IEMs are always tricky, especially the RE252, RE262, and the RE272... Those blasted Hifimans...

Would you say the difference in price between the different models is worth the money? I know it's bad to put price to performance, but if I can squeeze out some extra cash for a better listening experience, I will gladly.

In some cases yes, but the Hifiman line is very unique. For example, the RE262 is perfect for someone who loves vocals and a warm signature and the RE272 is for someone who loves tone neutrality and top-notch detail. I don't have much experience with the RE252, but the price differences doesn't really mean much in the Hifiman IEM line.

I found that out with their Over-Ear cans. I haven't really been reading much on IEMs, just need a good portable rig. If I do get them, I will review. Until then, I'll keep lurking.

Thanks to all that replied.
