Sennheiser MOMENTUM Review

Ah, sorry... I guess the wrinkles thing doesn't count.
I just looked back at photos of my Momentum from over 2 years ago, and they also have wrinkles... but right now (I'm looking at them on my desk right now) almost ALL the wrinkles are smoothed out.

I actually prefer the 'aged' smooth look

I'll put up a photo later.

Sorry, I've already sent them off. But yes, they do look very legit. The sound, however, was not...

I'm confident those are genuine. Either you had a bad copy or they were not really the right sound for you. There was a thread awhile back with pictures and details of how to make out fakes. Sorry again, what do you plan on getting next?

Did you see the crappy headband stitching?

I did but at that angle its hard to tell if stitching is bad or if its just camera angle but the quality,it really sucks for Sennheiser with all the fakes that are floating around of their IE 80,CX 300 and Momentum especially.

Edit: just saw a very genuine looking fake on the " Fake Momentum " Thread

A good place to buy them. Factory authorized I checked with Senn. I bought used like new. They were never touched just no retail box. $110.00 shipped with full warrant. I also bought my HD558s new from them. Amazon Warehouse Deals is not an authorized seller and give no manufacture warrant.

I had just ordered a pair off Amazon for $183 from EMUSIC ENTERPRISE, but read a few threads about how that seller is blacklisted, so cancelled immediately. Bought a pair from Adgtron for $105 thanks to this thread, and a thread on Reddit saying Sennheiser honors warranties from him. Now for the wait. :)

Interesting. My wrinkles have gotten slowly worse over time on the left pad. I think because of the remote module on the left side is constantly weighing the cord down, it is pulling on the leather; It is constantly being pulled down because I keep my iPod in my left pocket and pull in the cord's slack, and I have to readjust the cup. Wish they included a clip.

I do use leather cleaner on my Momentums, perhaps that's why my wrinkles remain?

No idea.. never put anything on the leather other than my head.
I guess I could try getting a leather cleaner but since I wash my hair daily I've never really given that much thought since the leather still looks and feels good.

Hi all, virgin post here.

Just bought this pair of headphones recently, an impulse buy. I didn't audition it before buying and what a mistake. I find it the vocals not forward-sounding enough. I guess I need more 'bright' headphones. Hope I used the term correctly, correct me if I'm wrong though. What are some recommendations?
