Tralucent Audio 1Plus2 IEM (Now With 'New' 1Plus2.2!) Impressions Thread

Do any companies make custom sleeves for the 1plus2 to turn it into kind of a CIEM, similar to how Sensaphonics makes sleeves for the Shure lineup?

Thanks!

I am wondering the same thing since I have to small ears for universal tips of "1plus2 size". The Shure size is much easier to fit with universal tips for me.

Have you asked sensaphonics about it?

Sensaphonics said they can't do it.

Maybe not sleeves but perhaps a full reshell might be do able.  You'd have to fire the likes of Cosmic Ears, Inearz and Unique Melody an email to see if it is possible or not.

It's my theory that the shell and layout within is integral to the sound of the 1p2. Wrong or right, if you decide to reshell, I'd love to hear if the sound stayed the same after having components put into a different shell.

I think so.  The shape of the shell contributes to how the 1Plus2 sounds.

Yeah fly... Agreed.. I was just saying that the shape contributes to the wonderful sound the iem produces

I see.

Gavin also told me that he had experiment with different transducer placements to derive the optimal results.

The lengthened bore needed for them to stay in and lack of tips will already affect the sound even if the rest of the shell and open bore remained.

Sorry about that, mate, but the physical design makes a sleeve impactical. For similar reasons, there are some older Shure models (E2/E2C, SCL2, SE110, SE115) that we don't do custom sleeves for, either.

Converts universal to custom..is it common?
