I'm pretty much there with most of my music (rig in sig). I do want something else for hard rock though, and I think I'm gonna get an Eximus S1 amp to go with my DP1, along with an HE6. Or I might get a Realiser instead since the cost is about the same. But for the here and now, my ZDSE/HD800 combo is my nirvana.
I am dying to try an HE6 again. I would get the Eximus S1 (for obvious reasons) if I did. Problem is-I'm more inclined to get a Realiser at this point and integrate that into my current rig. Plus if I went with the HE6/S1, I'd probably sell both rigs and try an 009/Electra. Damn this forsaken hobby.

Got quite a few jaw drops from my friends when I demoed it to them on Christmas.
My one friend is dead set on buying exactly what I have now that he's heard it, of course I urged him to goto some head-fi meets and demo everything and find what he may personally like more.
Yes, when I realised after much buying and selling that more expensive certainly does not mean better! I stopped spending silly money chasing the myths and relaxed knowing I was missing nothing.
tried the HD650 at the shop, ran it with a DACPORT amp/dac and surprisingly the HD558 (heavily modded, sounds 98% like a HD598) sounded just as good or better than the HD650 with it being more airy and clear with wider soundstage
no HD650 for me for now. an MS2i seems like a good upgrade however.... (or until my perception changes after more thorough experimenting)
Should be a week or so left till my Omega's come, once that comes and I've got enough money for a BHSE, this will be my final and all end game setup. Then I will get a BA in the future or so to pair it with my HD800's. I've come a long way and with the possiblity of selling everything in the future to fund into other hobbies. But what I've learnt is that no matter how close you strive to reach a perfect solution, you're still far far away from reaching the perfect nirvana, no laws and rules can distinguish what perfect is, you buy the best of today only to be outdated tomorrow as goes with everything else, if something is perfect then man will no longer be making improvements.
