Question about the S500s:  is the head band, specifically the padding, exactly the same as the S400s?  I returned the S400s because they hurt the top of my head after about 20 minutes.

I don't have a problem with the headband, I don't have as pointy a head as some... :p :D

I just learned something new. I never would have thought to put the pads on in this manner. Thanks,...

True dat! Seems the cavernous ones are a lot easier to find though.

It doesn't look like it, but there are people who complain about the headband. For me, its the earpads that have problems.

Nope, it's totally different. The S500s have a nich, cushy, pleather headband.

Before the FXD80s are burned in they sound cold and sharp, but when they're done they sound almost exactly like the S500s. They'd probably be better if they weren't IEMs.

Bought a pair online today (Surprised how low they retail for now)

I've owned the FXT90's in the past and loved the sound that came out of them, but the lack of sub bass was always such a disappointment.

It's because the CKN70s are better :p

The FXD80s have plenty of full bass after burn in, but on open box it sounds very clicky.

So, strangely, I can't stand having these on my ears anymore. Its not even a pressure thing, I just can't stand the texture of the ear pads somehow... *sigh*

I don't know if getting IEMs would work. I'll probably give these to my brother, though.

Have you considered getting another pads? I'm still with stock pads on my s500 and I have way above 3000 hours with it and now I don't even feel them. I can just wear the s500 all day and all night for months without being bothered by any discomfort or pain

Hey, I ordered the s500 and they arrived today.. Great headphones! :)
I'm searching for a case, I saw this one on earlier posts:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hard-Carry-Case-For-Panasonic-rp-dj120-Audio-Technica-ath-sj5-ath-sj3-ath-fc700-/261237002861?pt=US_Rack_Cases_Hard_Cases_Bags&hash=item3cd2f0526d

But I measured my headphones and I'm not sure they will fit in this case, is there anyone who tried?
Is there any other case you can recommend? A pouch can also be cool :) (I need a shipping to Israel)

Thanks a lot!
