man i'm getting impatient for these now, shipped 11 days ago by SAL and no sign of them yet Any uk guys vouch for how long they took from buyfromjapan?

hi tom I live in the uk and mine was ordered on th 12th. it shipped on the 14th and i got it on the 24th. i dont have a clip but i have a mp3 player and the 500's. can i join in on the fun ^^

DO i have to answer that question for you..

. those MX are gathering dust. As for impressions, these are my first so i dont have any others to compare agaist. Sound wise, the music doesnt come out of the ceter of my brain. When i am listening to a group sing, i keep turning my head when another person sings.. that never happened before. Lots of small sounds are coming through now. I never knew they existed before. I am sorry for not being able to expresss the music in better terms. but right now i feel like the music is enveloping me

. thats the best i can put it. Sound is much better. The only small thing though is that the bass  seems to be  a tad more than other parts. i hope the ath leathers sort that out. THANK YOU ALL YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE FOR THIS THREAD.................................. (burning is still going on now at 50 hrs or so. music like the piano music seems to have become much better. clearer to me. earlier, they seemed ok. but now it seems like they have a life of their own.dont knwo wether this is just my head or some thing else)

Good to know,  the bass gets tamed down with those pads and overall sound is better.

Ok,  i bought my Fire Phoenix.. for now no optical cable, i will used the USB functionality first. so i will give impressions in a few weeks.
Since it goes for $90+$15.00 shipping, its cheaper than a Fiio DAC. Also  i am not using my Fiio E11 that much, so as soon i get my  Firewhatever Dac  i am  selling the Fiio E11, i am keeping the E6 for portable use.
 
Like i said in another thread, since i bought the S500 and FXD80 i am not needing more iems o Hp, so i will start spending on "hardware" and music, to enjoy my phones.
 
Just waiting for the S400 to hit the states to buy a pair for my wife and waiting for a 50mm NCT Heaphone.

Yup - killin' me! Btw, did you mod your ksc75's? Mine are on a headband, with the plastic driver covers replaced with steel mesh.I'm still not so sure that the S500's can better that wicked combination

1. Stock with Logitech headband, no clips
2. Modded (hole ports)   + Loigtech Headband
 
Nice, but not in the same league of the S500.

I don't know if JVC will bring out a 50mm Carbon Nantube headphone. BUT.. And I say but as I am about the show you guys the next best thing. These will be costly but I do plan on getting one. I don't know if you guys been reading up on these as they will be Sony's newest very soon.

This is Sonys new MDR-1RNC.. Using Liquid Polymer film diaphragms. Yes another Japanese company using space age drivers. These should have some similar properties to JVCs. I passed on the Denons and might pass on the M-100 for these instead..
 
Look forward to see what you think about the Fire Phoenix Rickdohc. USB should be fine. Just make sure you have a couple on hand just in case the one they give you is poop like they sent me.

I'm definitely going to get the MDR-1R (not the noise cancelling ones...). The M100s are also on my "radar"...  Hopefully, me selling my Denon D600s is important to getting either of these!! LOL. On my eBay cart I have the S500s... but still have not bitten yet... Just looking at them hurt my ears! LOL Any consensus yet on the best pad? (best as in most comfortable without messing up sound quality/characteristics).
