Some of us may have already known this, but to let more FiiO fans know about it, here we go: the new product E09K is on sale now!

Let's see what has been improved from E9:

I'm assuming that E07K is also an upgrade from the Fiio E7?

Huge improvements. A legit Line In, a Pre Out, and improved sound?

If it's priced reasonably like the other FiiO options this'll sell really well.

Is there a difference in SQ/power output?

I'm curious if it would power the Q701 perfectly because there's a lot of hits and miss with original E9. If this does then I'll definitely q701 over dt770. Looks like its the waiting game again haha

No. There is not a difference in SQ/power output. There are differences in the way it functions, such as being able to switch from the dock input to a line input without undocking; and differences in the connections, but not in the SQ/power output.

Difference introduction between E09K and E9
QOGIR(E09K)is a new updated product of FiiO,basing on the E9 . Following are the main differences between them:

1.Adding the function of synchronously working for power supply and turn on/off. When using with E17, it only needs to turn on/off E09K, and E17 will turn on/off at the same time.
2.When selecting AUX IN & DOCK IN signal of E09K, there is no need to take out DOCK from E17, you just need to adjust the switch.
3.More reliable and durable RCA gold-plated terminals instead of 3.5mm connector.
4.There is no tone quality difference between E09K and E9.

The addition of FiiO including the two op amps used in the picture wasn't meant to say that it uses a new different chip. The E9 used the same ones. I at first thought that they used differnt op amps as the advertising made it kinda seem like it by telling you what the op amp was in the E09K but upon further research. The BurrBrown/TI OPA2134 and TPA6120 was used in the E9 as well.

And that quote above more or less tells you from what we currently know (as the device isn't out in authorized dealers yet) that those are the differencs.

Not big different in SQ and the price will be the same as E9

A difference none the less and all the other improvements for the same price. Still well worth it. Especially for those with an E17.

That's a great budget D7000 set up right there.

I'd like to see a switch to toggle between the pre out/line out and the headphone jack. I'm assuming you'll still need to unplug the headphones to get sound out of connected speakers?

I like my Fiio amps/dacs and find them a solid value for the money.  Having said that there is an improvement they could make: Hire someone who knows English to write the descriptions and instructions for their products.
