I was searching for cheap but decent sounding IEM's and came across Raxconn. This manufacturer is based in Taiwan and specializes in making all sorts of headphones and computer headsets. From looking at the manufacturers site I understood that they were concentrating on producing fashion oriented models and less on sound quality.

Looking at the relatively low price tag an Raxconn models on dealextreme I ordered 4 different models. All of them sounded quite well for the price but there was one model that sounded amazing. It was the RX-H076. Very powerful and punchy bass and great detail. I fitted them with triple flange tips (like Etymotic) and managed to achieve the best seal I ever achieved with any IEM's.

All of Raxconn's models that I have are made of aluminum and feel very solid though on some of them the cables feel a little thin.

I want to recommend those IEM's to everyone that have 10 bucks to spare and I want to hear impressions from other users.

What should the rest of us non EU citizens do?
Even if this site ships outside of EU it won't be cost effective to order them. Most of those sites charge crazy shipping rates outside their countries. Sometimes even three times the price of the product which is exactly the price of those IEM's in Israel.

The HD381 is $37 on Google shopping for one, or $89 for the set of three. At these prices I'll pass. For $10 it does look interesting.

The JVC Riptidz at $7 is quite nice though.

For just $20 each the JVC HA-FX40 and Panasonic RP-HJE355 are very satisfying. Even the $7 JVC Riptidz is pleasant to listen to.
