Comfort Vs. Sound...

Comply Foams... 5 pair shipped = $22.95 / 5 months = $4.59 (Fluffy Cloud like comfort)

Shure Black Foams... 5 pair shipped = $15.49 / 5 months = $3.09 (Painful after 5 minutes)

Difference? $1.50 a month or .05 cents per day.

w0w, You are right. I may have to take up pan handling to pay for my habit of having the most comfy earphones around.

I will pray for your wallet though... O.K.

Believe it or not, I always found Shure Foams more comfortable than Comply Foams.

That's Great...

But, You cannot deny that the Comply Foams are softer.

And for me, Softer equals Greater Comfort, Longer listening time, and Greater Enjoyment.

Purpose also will play a big factor. If you want some earphones to sleep with then of course comfort will rule.

comfort. i dont want to listen to godly sounding iems which i cant keep on for more than 5 seconds.

but once comfort is tolerable then sound

Why listen to the most ungodly, aweful headphones...  Even if they feel like pillows on your ears and you can wear them for 20 hours straight?

It's the combination that makes a headphone good or bad. A good manufacturer pays the same attention to sound quality as comford. So, when the balance isn't there, you don't have a good pair of headphones that fits perfectly on you.

Comfort definitely shouldn't be taken lightly. If you can't stand them there's no point... Some people can be physically hurt from an IEM/Can I'm sure in those cases comfort is worth it. Also when you hit that perfect and I mean perfeeect balance between comfort and sound that you enjoy most it's like reaching nirvana...
