The first few units have started to ship, and I know of two people who got shipping confirmations. I paid the remainder on mine at the beginning of May, and I was just told mine would be shipping by the end of this week.

I just got notice, mine is shipping out this week. The bad news is if it doesnt get here by saturday, I am going to be out of town for the following week. I will pass it in the air. I will be headed to cali and it will be coming from cali. Go figure.

Just curious, what tubes are you anticipating using to replace the stock tubes?

I plan to try some SED Winged C , Mullard XF2 , Amperex EL34s for the output and maybe few 6SN7s for the input or secondary stages. Someone has already cautioned about replacing the front 6SN7s, so I would probably just start with the EL34s.

Yes, this super important. Front pair of 6SN7 must be matched, Craig won't even sell an Electra without providing that pair.

My understanding is that the matching is for the two triodes within each 6sn7, not so much about the 6sn7 pairs although it never hurts I guess.

I going to start with some gold lion kt 77 and for the 6sn7, I have matched quads of rca gray glass, bad boys, tungsol mickey ear, and hytron for a start. Can mix and match pairs of the different 6sn7 also to get different flavors. Too many options.
