...so much for comparisons or reviews, I just went and ordered the DT 770 Pro from Meier-Audio

Based on all those reviews looks like DT250-80 would be a better choice. Plus DT770 nothing but plain ugly imo, DT250 looks more compact and stylish. (just my personal opinion, no flame intendend)
And this is what I've just ordered form B&H.

Well, the DT250 take the "all-rounder" prize, that is certain. This is why I decided to keep two headphones around. Frankly there just didn't seem to be anything that would be both musical, have good positional cues and soundstaging, not to mention the visceral bass (definate must for movies!).

I agree that the 250 look better, in a rugged sort of way. But since these are for home use only...

Ah well, hopefully I'll see if I made the right choice next week
