Well, what can I say? Makes me wonder why you reviewed this "CHEAP ICE BOX AMPLIFIER" in the first place? I love mine and if that offends you there is not much I can do about it.

I will never discount what anyone hears in their own system, especially with ultra revealing cans like the HD800. I just wanted to point out that some of Frank I's comments about the sound of the NFB6 mirror my experience with the sabre-based W4S DAC1, which left me cold both musically and emotionally - especially when new. It lacked warmth, was somewhat grey and strident sounding, had little decay, and was compressed dynamically compared to my DA-220. I gave it about 400-500 hours, and then sold it because it never completely overcame those initial impressions. It did get better, but not close enough to consider keeping it. It always sounded just too digital to me...

Of course this was in my system, my room, my tastes, etc. YMMV.

Why do you feel that you have to shout to get yor point across? Not to mention that you sound right out arrogant and conceited by trying to diminish the validity of Hooster's opinion and experience of the NFB-6 and declaring just how good your Gear is and stating that others buy and own Crap. I think that you ought to eat some Humble Pie, presto. I'm glad that you're finished with this thread. You will do all of us owners of Crap Gear a big favour...
