Hi guys, since the Video Game forum is just made, I thought I'd just make an upcoming video game discussion thread.

Personally I'm rather excited about Halo 4, being the huge Halo nerd I am. (I own most of the novels, and I have the missing three in the mail)

I've never played Ghost Recon on a console before. The PC version was awesome though.

Not a huge Halo fan, but I may as well play 4, as I've played all the ones before it.

Tales of Graces F comes out in a few days. If you own a PS3 and love JRPGs, for the love of god, BUY THIS GAME, NEW. Support JRPGS. They are all but dead in the west. We need to support them.

I'm feeling rather hyped for Kid Icarus: Uprising lately. One of the reasons I got a 3DS recently, actually.

But between that and Xenoblade Chronicles...ouch, my wallet. It can barely accommodate both as is. I usually don't pre-order games, being the type to just wait until they're on sale for dirt cheap a year later, but with the pre-order bonuses for both and the possibility that Xenoblade will only be available through eBay scalpers if you don't pre-order...

I uhh, tried Xenoblade Chronicles, and wasn't too enamored with the battle system. It's too floaty for me. A shame, as I'd have love to go through it for the story.

I'm real picky when it comes to action RPGs and their battle systems.

Jude, and racing games? Lol. I'm considering getting Ridge Racer for the PS Vita, though itsnot exactly getting rave reviews. Still, I love arcadey racers, and I'm a huge drifting mechanic RR fan. Ridge Racer 7 is my fave racing game, then Burnout Revenge.

Like I said, I'm a motorsports nut, particularly Formula One, NASCAR, and just about every form of four-wheeled-vehicle racing out there.

(left to right) One of a couple first-place trophies friends and I won in Kart2Kart enduros (on top of my RSA Apache); the Head-Fi Roush Mustang drag race car behind Jack Roush during an interview with Dave Despain on Speed TV in 2005; a better shot of the Head-Fi Roush Mustang drag race car (in 2005). (Click on the photos to see larger versions.)

So, yes, I love good racing games. Since I have my iPhone 4S with me pretty much all the time, the game I play most is Real Racing 2, because it's always with me. I don't play that much--usually when I need a break from working on flights, or at airports when I'm not talking on the phone.

That's kind of distressing, since I'm rather picky about battle systems myself (never liked "DVD menu combat", as some put it for FF/DQ/etc. combat) and think I would like The Last Story better solely for the combat, but then again, I don't want to let Operation Rainfall down.

Also, there's the possibility that I can cheat the battle system somehow. I wish I'd done this earlier (or at least consulted GameFAQs regularly) when playing JRPGs, given how I realized that I was really playing for the plot and not all the grinding, especially with boring DVD menu combat in most of them.

Of course, I still need to get around to playing Tales of Symphonia and Skies of Arcadia: Legends...they've been sitting in my GCN game library for some time, but I just haven't gotten around to playing them for some reason.

Ridge racer only has 5 tracks and 3 cars. No joke, I own it. All the other content is coming as DLC, and it's on the cart!

Well its release day DLC for free (hasn't come out here yet), and they're adding more tracks and cars, etc. As well as improved framerates. I'm definitely getting it.

Is there anybody eyeing on Max Payne 3, Counter-Strike:GO, and GTA 5?

I'm really ecstatic on them as I like shooter games.

If Max Payne 3 is anything like Just Cause 2, then I'm in.

The new CS looks awesome, I'll definitely pick it up.

GTA 5 will hopefully be better than Mafia II, which, after the original, was a disappointment.
