Ah.  Hah.

And I just want a nice 914 with the 2 liter flat 6.

Well maybe if you could locate this car a 914 would do.

Still can't tell whether its going forward or backwards.

Funny. The Corvair became the poor mans Porsche, the 914 became the overpriced Corvair.

I'm comfuzzled, you complain about the 944 falling apart and praise the 914. Seriously? I do agree with you on the regular production 944, 100%, but there's so much left out of the Cup there's not much in it to come loose. (Also they were assembled by hand, unlike the standard car.)

There's no praise for the 914 there. But if you absolutely positively have to have one the /8 was probably it. They are really great cars for someone else to own.

The 14 , 44, and 28 fall firmly into the category of "well yeah sure, but at the price points they command there are so many better cars to be had."

Or just save your lunch money for a 911 project car. After all, it's what a "lesser Porsche" buyer really wants:)

I know, doesn't matter but, some 914s got around the parking lot of cones really fast.  Besting the Miatas in the same class.  Then the goofy Toyota MRS Spyder (new one) came around and pretty much killed that.

I always thought the 914s were cool.  So simple and basic.  Essence.

Still take the X1/9 for the win in any parking lot. Though I have seen 924's do quite well:wink:  The only time when underpowered is king!

1 Month till the rubber meets the road and the cryin begins. Will Teflonso be slapping his forehead yet again? Will Britney get Hammered? Will Vettel be constantly saying "Yes Yes, But I look good in red"? Will Raikkonen speak? Will Ricciardio have enough engine to challenge? Will Massa once again be relegated to second banana by a more talented teamate?

Stay tuned folks,, this time the whole year could be the "silly season"

Haha.  Good stuff.

Baddest Fiat X19 I know of.  Honda power.

Poor picture but you get the idea.

Oooh ya. Way back when I actually drove things and dinosaurs roamed there was a tricked out 9 with the flares and the snorkel and the 2 litre that should have been in it in the first place. Just wicked mean pocket rocket. Man that thing just pulled lateral G like a formula car, go carts used to weep when it showed up. Of course it suffered from the typical transmission problems......but apart from that:)

Haha its a beautiful car xD

He hasn't told us the price. I'm going to assume it fetches significantly more than the 944's are going for these days.

Also wonder who in Canada was the owner.

Catching up on the thread; it's been a busy few days. I went to the Chicago Auto Show with the radio station during press days, and it was truly the most boring major auto show I've ever been to. The highlight reveals were the Honda Pilot and Mitsubishi's latest unrealistic concept. At least everyone brought out the good stuff from Detroit, including a new Ford GT prototype in silver. The thing looks like it competes at a few times its price, and the tiny V6 makes the shape at the rear of the car tapered way beyond what you would expect. If you removed the rear fenders and buttresses, the car is actually shaped rather like a triangle when viewed from above.

Oh, yeah, the new NSX was there as well. Yawn. After seeing the concepts online in various iterations for the last five years, I was completely underwhelmed by the production model in person. It just looks like an Acura, which is not a good thing in terms of excitement. Alfa Romeo was a highlight that made up for the NSX, though, since they brought a number of their most famous racecars to fill their tiny stand. The Tipo 33 had me swooning.

Wonder how the NoStyleXperiment is going to sell. Up here the old beast used to be every Headhunters wet dream. Wonder if now that theyre hitting retirement age the ahem, sedate styling will suit.

Alfa's  mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Can't believe that Magick guy sold a junior Zagato.
