100+ Head-Fier
Okay. I got my Futuresonics Atrio's M5 with the MG7 drivers from Atrio.me just yesterday and immediately I was not very happy about the eartips. They beige foams feel like sand paper after several insertions and I am not too fond of dual flanges. I had and extensive amount of tips from Monster earphones and some Radio Shack Auvio eartips so it was modding time.
What I did was to find the dual flange that didn't fit my ears and cut the flanges off. Next I took that tube piece and slid it over the earphone stem and it made it wider. Now I can use some of the monster tips, particularly the gel filled tips on my Atrio's and also the Auvio hybrids. They fit really snug and tight. It takes a few minutes to get them to slide on the stem but it can be done. The monster foam hybrids I could not slide right away as it was too snugged but it can be done if you have more than a few minutes.
I have not experience in sound since I got the earphones yesterday so I can't really compare on before and after sound. But the comfort is amazing now!!!!
