Questions about Sennheiser 600

How would you guys rate the HD 600 from 1-10 in terms of sound quality?  

How does it compare to the other high end headphones that are similar priced to headphones that are $200-$300 more?

Are the HD600s still highly regarded after all these years?

And rate on a scale of 1-10 how much better the HD600 is compared to the earbuds that comes with ipod touches.  You can go over 10 if ya want like up to 1 million.

This is all with the E9/E7 or E9/17 amp/dac with all genres.  This is gonna be the last bit of researching I need to decide whether I should get the HD600 over the 650s cause I don't wanna pay $500 for the 650s when I could've gotten them for $350 a month ago.  I need you guys to help convince me to get the HD600 over the HD650s cause this decision to buy the HD600 now or wait for a price drop on the 650 is killing me right now!  Forgot to add that I never own any good headphones before.

I liked the HD-600s, which I picked up second-hand for <$300, with a good, mid-tier amp. For a long while, along with the 650s, they were popular in top-of-the-line systems and do scale well, also sounding good with all kinds of music.

The 600's are a great all around headphone.  They do well with a wide variety of music.  They scale well, according to many, myself included, by using a better amp and replacing the stock cord with a good after-market one.  I'm using the Cardas after-market cord and have enjoyed my HD-600s for many years.  I prefer their tonal balance over that of the HD-650.
