I've tried both options and still it fails, for the windows CMD i get  "cannont determine the number of sectors on this volume"..its showing as formated as raw ?

With other format utilities im getting device media is write protected!

Also is there not some problem with the USB adapters used ?...Im reading that they seem to have a spec to be able to adapt only up to 32gb ?

Try the SmartDisk Fat32 Format Utility

i brought the dx100 to a mini meet yesterday and one of my friends decided not to try it because he just bought a k3003 and he uses an hm602 and wants to upgrade, funny stuff

lol you mean he doesn't want to be tempted by the DX100 but will just go straight for the 901? Some definite bias there. I'd rather hear an item to determine it is better rather than make an assumption based on placebo ;).

Seems he was scared what what it might do to his/her impression of what he/she has and what he/she may regret. :^)

Here is a link to some great binaural recordings, available either in CD or MP3 downloads. Very reasonable pricing:

http://orangetreeproductions.com/music-cds.html

You can preview all of the music on all of the albums.

Guys,
Those of you that have bought the DX100 - how was the communication with iBasso?
I ordered Wednesday night (GMT) and other than the paypal receipt have not heard a thing!

Did you get a confirmation from them? Or was it all quiet until it was shipped?

You will likely get shipping confirmation from them about the same time as your DX100 arrives. Not to worry, they are faster in shipping than in paperwork. iBasso is among the very best in customer service!

They really didn't contact me until they shipped the item out. Then they give you the shipping information and the invoice at that time.

IMHO their communication is not the best in that space. It could be better because I too got concerned when I placed my order and didnt get a confirmation email other than the payPal receipt. All good in the end though and you will find its more than likely on its way. But yeah I got worried waiting a few days from time of shelling out the $.

The sound will make up for it :)

Finally got my device yesterday (step 29 in tracking for those complaining about having to wait beyond step 7!)  Had a couple of minor Android glitches selecting music but I think that was my impatience not waiting for the device to fully boot.  Running through a pair of Shure 530s while I wait for my Jh3a / 16Pros, but was absolutely blown away by the sound quality straight out of the box.  Listening to Edguy's Theater of Salvation album (FLAC) the sound stage seemed immense even given the limitation of the Shures and the separation of the instruments really allowed everything to shine through.  Immensely happy so far!

@kryten123.  I got nothing from iBasso until the tracking number came through - I ordered Monday evening North American time and got the tracking number Wednesday afternoon.

Cool, if no one else has had any issues, I guess that it is on it way

I'll treat it as a someone sending me a surprise present...which could be with me any time soon

Maybe the ordering process should be in the FAQ to set expectations of new customers. This question seems to be coming up quite frequently.

Good idea however maybe iBasso should glean from this priceless market research In this thread and simply apply an automated ibasso email confirming purchase and any other info that a new customer wants to hear after handing over $800+ US

You know pure-logic doesn't compute in this market ;)
