To be Honest , based on Uelover advice, I got it after poweramp, and it was clearly better, but I also like Deadbeaf, give it a try its free, I like the interface, but Neutron is way better, sound wise, but the UI is ...$hit
Lee, I just remembered, that neutron requires a fast CPU and this may not work nicely with your DAC, you can try it for 15 minutes before the time of your refund ends, so try it if it is slow or you did not like it you can be refunded without being charged just make sure it is before 15 minutes deadline.

I discovered another bug that might be of great importance to anyone planning to download a bunch of apps....I can't find a way to delete a shortcut widget from one of the homescreens...Normally on an Android device, you just drag it to the bottom, a trash can appears, and the icon turns red and disappears when you drop it in the trash.
On the DX100, no trash can appears. Although the shortcut icon turns red when you drag it to the bottom, it never disappears. It seems it will be very easy to clutter up your pages with shortcuts or widgets that you can never delete!!!!

This is similar to what I was telling you about the playlists. But with the playlists you can delete them manually from the device but if you delete them from the computer they will still show up as empty shells on the device...

AFAIK, there is no way to delete shortcuts or widgets from your computer. They install and uninstall from the Marketplace app. Perhaps if the app is deleted via marketplace, the shortcut will also go away, but I haven't tried that yet. This is not normal Android behavior to not be able to just drag an unwanted icon to the trash.

I downloaded and installed the free 15 day trial of Poweramp from the Marketplace app and it seems to work perfectly! There is gapless playback which is fully configurable, EQ, and no pops between selections! It imported all of my music and the playlists I had created on the iBasso player and they all play properly and in proper sequence. I can't say as I hear a great difference tonally, but considering they both use the same DAC and amp circuitry, I would not expect significant differences.
The cost is only $4.99, so Poweramp might be a viable option for the DX100, at least until iBasso updates the firmware.
Greed has driven the world crazy. And I think I'm lucky that I have a place over here that I can call home. Nina Simone
Greed has taken the whole universe, and nobody is worried about their soul. Little Richard
Greed is a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction. Erich Fromm
Greed is the inventor of injustice as well as the current enforcer. Julian Casablancas
Mischa, very impressive specially with a quote from Fromm. Without greed, I don't think I can even get out of bed sometimes. But I think I am going to start becoming more altruistic and start giving my cables away 0(^^)0
For those of you experiencing issues with apparently random playback, do you have an option on the DX100 to selectively order your file lists according to your own preferences?
I don't have a DX100 but on my Galaxy S2, whenever I'm in a file folder, I have a context menu available to me (selectable by pressing the Galaxy S2's bottom-left key, adjacent to the 'Home' key).
When I press that bottom-left key, whilst in a file folder, the following appears:
and selecting, from that context menu, the option 'List by', the following sub-menu appears:
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE ABOVE SCREENSHOTS ARE FROM A SAMSUNG GALAXY S2 PHONE, NOT A DX100!
without actually having a DX100 to play with, I don't know if the above menu is even relevant, but since both the GS2 and the DX100 run Android, I just thought I'd mention it as a potential possibility, so please don't shoot me down for trying to help
