Oh I see, I'm going to check that out. I have the usb version and I went from onboard sound and having my sansa clip+ being my main source to the m-stage and it was such a big difference. I don't think I'm going to upgrade my amp for a while unless I want something for speakers.

You know you could have easily sent an email to head direct customer service after sending in your recalled unit, and asked them to send replacement back with only velour pads.
 
They threw in extra pads for all the replacements of the recall AFAIK, I requested velours so I got the replacement with 2 pairs of em. Now I have 4 pairs of velours lol. I'm set on velours for life yo.

I should mention that with the free shipping, usps air mail or priority will ve used. For an additional cost i can use fedex which is usually much faster.

But shipping anything to Cyprus is pretty rare!

Still waiting on my pair. Looks to be coming from China this time. I was expecting it to come from the US front, oh well...

Hopefully here next week.

Well, I originally sent them in for repair not for replacement so we didn't go through all those steps in our emails.
Apparently once they got them they just decided it was easier to bunch me in w/ the recalls and just give me a new pair altogether.

The default action of any unit being sent in to Hifiman is replacement I think, unless you explicitly state you want it repaired and retain the original unit's shell etc.
 
Well, it might make a fanatical environmentalist angry, but hey you got a whole new pair haha.

Haha yeah looking back perhaps it would have been wiser to go with fedex. Just to be clear, I wasn't placing any blame on you justin, but the bums here who failed to notify me.

I didn't realize that i could track it with my local post since USPS was being used. Anyway i managed to track it with local post and i think i know know why it hasn't arrived. The latest event states: 
 
"Unsuccessful item delivery attempt (Inb)" followed by
 
"Reason: No delivery service, for this product/service, to the specified.
"Measure: Addressee advised to pick up the item.
 
So they're just sitting there waiting for me to pick them up. They didn't even give me a notice. I should have them tomorrow Monday then :)

Of course. I couldn't resist. They are near perfection for me. I'll offset that imperfection with a subtle bass boost. :wink:

So is the DT-990 going to supplement your HE-400, or are you getting rid of the HE-400 again just like you did with the HD 650?

Let two friends audition my modded HE400 earlier today, basically sounded like a gay porno for 20 minutes.
