Wait, as in wooden pencils or mechanical pencils? If mechanical, then OK - although not sure why 4, not 1. Unless you meant 4 different ones, $270 each. Then yeah, that's quite a lot. Although I assume they're the ones that are supposed to match the fountain pens, which seem to me more like they are to show off because even the high-end models from work-centered brands like Rotring or Pentel don't cost that much AFAIK and they are supposed to last.
If wooden... then wow. Even original Blackwings don't cost that much and they're pretty much collector's items today (unless you REALLY are a purist, since Palomino started to make their copies, which are supposed to be comparable in quality). Although since you mentioned fountain pens, I think not?
