  Of course you have.
Believe it or not, but I'm aware of most of the thing you mentioned. It's just that I don't see all this as peachy as you seem to do. You make it sound so easy! Almost foolproof.
"I'll just put ads all over the internet, sell my information products and cash in all the CPA money. And in 15 years, I'll be a billionaire"
I'm sure you have what it takes to pull this miracle off, given your career so far.

I guess I just don't know how the world works. I'm also very sceptic when it comes to crypto currencies! That should tell you a lot about me :p

Blame my snarkiness on the heat.

Oh, no, it's ridiculously difficult for a novice, just like any other business. I struggled for years before seeing any results. That's where information products teaching you how to do things come in. You can drastically reduce your learning curve by learning from those who've already done it. And spending three-to-four figures to get practical, step-by-step marketing info can be much more effective than spending four-to-five figures on a college marketing degree that teaches nothing but theory.

Online business is vastly more affordable and simple than a brick-and-mortar business where you have to put down five figures and wait years to even know if you'll make a profit. With IM, it's possible to profit the very same day at no expense.

Here's a specific example from my own experience. I went to a joint venture site and found a $97 information product launching in a few weeks; contacted the author to receive a review copy; skimmed the promotional / sales materials and read the book; wrote and published a product review on one social media site; got permission to offer a bonus and exclusive discount on the product to anyone who purchased it through my affiliate link; connected the marketing campaign to an email newsletter I had prepared for prospects and customers; created a new website with the product title in the domain name to serve as a hub for additional exposure; and waited. A few weeks later, the product launched. My review was ranked #1 in Google for target keyword phrases. The author even praised my review as the best one he'd read. I received a 50% commission and brought in four figures in sales without spending more than the cost of domain registration. Not too shabby for something that only took a few hours!

By the way, I've never sold anything on Amazon. It's better to send traffic to your own website to send them into your marketing funnel. Give away a valuable freebie, offer advice in your newsletter, recommend relevant products, etc. for long-term customer value instead of a quick buck - even better with your own joint venture partners and affiliates on board - your own private advertising team that is paid only on results, so there's no immediate risk on your part.

Sorry, but this still sounds like something out of a spam mail to me.

One last question: You seem to be on a , well, hiatus right now. Why did you stop making hundreds or even thousands of dollars per day? It seems like you got this whole IM thing figured out. I would totally go on doing this kind of business no matter how stressful it is, considering you could buy yourself one Sennheiser HD800 per day instead of being stuck with Earpods and some Bose cans.

I was just explaining how a few things work, since you asked.

Mainly because I stopped spending a lot of money on advertising. I should have reinvested my profits, but squandered them foolishly. Unfortunately, all that was before I joined Head-Fi. I am currently restructuring my operations towards more efficient and sustainable solutions and obtaining further intelligence to facilitate them.

I keep editing my posts, so they're worth glancing at again.

Now we're getting somewhere. Based on what I have heard on this forum, I highly recommend the JVC HA-SZ2000 (~$250-300) for when you upgrade your headphones. (I don't have any low-end IEM recommendations because, as mentioned, it's not my specialty.) It supposedly has some of the best sub-bass.

In this post, a member had this to say: "I have a defective pair, and i can still hear 17Hz with them. Like ambient noises can be heard in the troughs of the wavelength of bass. I can barely turn them up, and the bass is heartachingly thunderous."

The headphone I want the most, the Abyss Headphones AB-1266, is (very often) said to have the highest-quality bass available, and some consider them to be the best-sounding headphones they've heard - but they cost $5,495 - and you need to spend just as much, or even more, on the other equipment to get the best out of them.

What is the "deep" genre? lol. What does post-dubstep sound like?

On my profile, I list some of the electronic genres I like (trance, techno, drum and bass, trip hop, electronica, industrial, dark electro, ambient, dance)...but for someone with such similar tastes as me, I thought you would have more diverse tastes in music as well.

I watched nearly everything Dragon Ball (Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Kai, movies, etc.) and it was around that many episodes. I probably wouldn't do it again, and I would need some major convincing to watch One Piece.

By the way, have you read the Soul Eater manga? It's far more bizarre than the anime.

I'll definitely look further into the JVC's. I'm assuming (and hoping), based on the price of them alone, that I'd be okay to stick with my Magni and Modi if I were to pick up a pair of those?

The Abyss cans are beeauuuutiful. Out of my reach by far, but one can dream.

"Deep," or Post-Dubstep, is sort-of a callback to when dubstep was just starting. When the genre was just coming out, it was mostly a UK "Garage" type of sound. You can hear a lot of this if you listen to Burial. This is the most listened to album by him, I reckon. I throw that artist out there because it's probably the most well-known that fits the bill. That's not to say that he is my favorite to listen to in the grander scheme of things, but the sounds give a decent enough idea of where the genre began.

I wish I could get my spotify working, because I'd just link you the ever-growing playlist I manage. I'll instead throw some youtube links and hope that they eventually post! (Timing myself, It's 8:45AM EST) edit: YAY! I have permissions now.

You'll probably notice that I have a fairly specific taste. I really enjoy sharp snares and other drum hits throughout the tracks.
Drew's Theory - Side Effects
Gantz - Spry Sinister (J.Sparrow mix)
Von D - Broadstreet
Deco & Mesck - Transit Method
Cris Fern - She Is
Eva808 - Childhood/Balmy
Bukez Finezt - Under Control - Lots of folks have this as a track of the year contender. I maybe include myself in that list.
Nomine - Nomine's War
Mala - Miracles (Commodo mix)
Author - Break Yourself

There's another subset of the genre that I enjoy, Grime. Over the past few years, it's been trending more to what a friend of mine calls "Grimestep." It's more harsh than the aforementioned tracks, with vocals.
Moody Good - Ziambey

Some folks I talk to call it Badman, but those tracks have a Dub feel and the vocals sound Jamaican. In many cases, they are. Here's an example of that:
The Bug ft. Flowdan - Jah War (Loefah mix)

I LOVE "badman."

I tend to steer away from the higher BPM genres, for the most part at least. For whatever reason, it feels like there's a correlation between a higher BPM and a "busier" sound. Here's a good exception, though! BONUS free download!
Om Unit - Human Abstract

Pretty much all of those links are to newer releases. They're present on my mind and easier to find

Lol!

Glad you are here. Some people have 'left' but most still are here in a different sense. We have a Facebook and Skype group. And our older legacy members are generally there often.

We used to do 250 posts + a day EASY. We clear about 70-120 a day right now (the last few months) . The last few days have been hitting 220+ though which is awesome.

Despite that. We are still #1 on HF of course

I think it's amazing that this group has stuck around so tightly for such a long time.

I'm awake! I went to sleep at like 6 p.m. EST lol.

By the way, I noticed Clannad is one of your favorites. Do you think it would be a good choice for my next anime? A member who doesn't post in this thread recommended it to me privately a while ago.

Are you in EST? I can't imagine sleeping by 6. I'm just eating dinner at that point! What'd you do to force that upon yourself? An all-nighter?

I've heard such good things about Clannad, but have yet to delve into it at all. I'd really love to watch through it and After Story, but there are just so many other shows interesting me that I haven't made the time.

That's okay, we all start out in the same position!

Holy crap! I just found Joker's IEM review. That is easily the most detailed compilation post I've seen in a loooong time.

Two words: accordion solo.

YouTube has such horrible audio quality...

You can click here to learn more about folk metal and here for a list of bands.

I hope Spada sees this...

You joined the same month as me, but I only recently started posting more often.

How interesting. A girl I dated back in high school plays keyboard in a fairly successful Folk Metal band. Are you familiar with Winterhymn? Here's a music video they put out a few years ago. Growing up I was really big on metal and hardcore, so I used to quite enjoy heavy vocals. His voice never hit it for me, but MAN! Those instrumentals. Blonde girl on the keyboard is my friend. The video description gives away my location, not that I care. I'm below the Ohio River, in KY.

I had no idea I was so busy on here! No wonder the workday went by so quickly yesterday

I hate summer with a passion. The only thing I like about it is the thunderstorms. The heat drains my energy. So glad that it's beginning to cool down here, giving way to glorious autumn.

And here I thought we were rather similar. I love summer, and despise storms. The sound of rain is peaceful, but in my area it gets so humid and drags me down. I'm always cold, too, so the heat is a nice change for me. It's soothing. I do enjoy Spring and Autumn to be fair, but when Winter comes by I'm not the kindest to those around me. The bitter cold ruins my spirits.

That embodied everything that is wrong with Samsung plastics.

From fake metal trims to fake leather completed with fake stitching. That is as tasteless as buying a fake watch and showing off it.

Plastic as a material is very flexible and adaptable, but when it try to imitate what it is not, it is just tacky.

What if it had real metal trims and real stitched leather? Would you then think it's overly ostentatious and adds unneeded bulk and weight to an otherwise slim and lightweight handset?

Thank you. XD
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. The colour scheme is nice, yes, but the overall design is kind of tacky-looking to me. The whole pleather thing on a plastic frame is just...no. -_-

But it's an improvement over Samsung's glossy "Hyperglaze" plastic, no?

By the way:
  Triple post...

Too bad China doesn't have Google Images. But for $45, I can't complain.
Stainless steel case, automatic movement. Still much better than any branded watch of similar price!
2/5 would not buy again though.

One of Google Images' result for comparison:

It's fine to stick with your current amp/DAC.

Most people think the Abyss are the ugliest-looking headphones of all time. (I don't mind the design, especially since nearly all of it is to improve the sound quality.)

I was going to congratulate you on reaching the second out of six basic Head-Fi membership levels. That's when your posts don't need to await approval so much.

Yes. My sleep schedule is completely random. I prefer staying awake all night. Helps me focus.

I meant to link you there, since a few people recommended it to me, but I didn't feel like finding the link.

The name Winterhymn sounds somewhat familiar. You said it gives away your location and you're near the Ohio River in Kentucky, but the only location mentioned in the description under the video is Cincinnati, Ohio...? I would have sworn you mentioned something about Ohio before. My memory could be playing tricks on me.

Who are your favorite metal bands? Here are mine.

I don't like being rained on; just watching it from inside. Winter is my penultimate adversary, don't worry. Perhaps you missed my post about how we're so alike!

I like abnormal and unique designs. As long as they don't look like they'd crush my skull in some fashion after a few minutes of use, that is.

Thanks! It's liberating. Previously I was so concerned with each and every post, I didn't want to derail a conversation with an overly-delayed comment due to awaiting approval.

WE REALLY ARE DIFFERENT! I much prefer being awake with the sun. Regardless of how late I stay awake, I'm up in the morning by 7 or 8 at the latest.

I don't recall saying Ohio anything, but that's possible. Cincinnati is a 15 minute drive from my apartment, so it's not a stretch to say it gives my general locale. I hate Cincinnati, by the way. That's probably why I felt the need to mention I'm on the other side of the river. The town I live in is much better suited for me. The only real drawback is that there are no good internet providers. I can't even get fiber, so I'm stuck paying way too much for 30Mbps down / 5Mbps up.

It may have been a bit of a stretch for me to have said Metal. Your list of favorites does have some that I enjoyed listening to, but I definitely was more into "hardcore." I don't know what the genre is even called, to be honest. Metalcore? From your list - Arch Enemy, Children of Bodom, In Flames, Killswitch Engage (yes!), Opeth, Pantera, and Slipknot. The phase I went through was back in high school, and at that time I was really into the Warped Tour lineups.

The Devil Wears Prada, Attack Attack!, the old Sea of Treachery (local band for me, they moved to California and replaced the vocalist. Now it's meh. They were a favorite of mine.), and Taking Regan was another local band that only had a few tracks, I met the vocalist in college. His voice was impressive.

Did you post about our likeness? I'm sure I read it. Hopefully this isn't a trait we also share, as it's a huge burden for me. I forget details quite a lot. I tell myself it's because I don't dwell on things and live in the present, but I'm sure that's just me protecting myself.

I'm sorry I took an unannounced leave of absence guys! No power meant the modem was down and I couldn't even use my cellphone due to being an idiot and using all my data earlier in the month. I hope to be a bit more active here soon and stuff. And stuff.

Check out the Abyss wallpapers I made.

Regardless of how late I stay awake, I manage to get plenty of sun time too...but that's because I usually stay up until afternoon.

We live closer than you would guess. If you ever have trouble finding someone to play through Final Fantasy IX with you, I'm open to the idea. I grew up in a small town in the mountains and get what you mean about cities. My Internet is criminally overpriced, and I have the same connection speed as you.

You probably mean either hardcore punk or metalcore. Two great metalcore bands are Zao and Converge. In Flames is my favorite band.

I edited my post with a link to that post. I'm pretty good with details, at least if they interest me.

There's actually a full length version of the music video? It's probably unofficial though.

Oh yes, and '神前暁', the composer's name, is supposed to be pronounced 'Kousaki Satoru', but can also be pronounced as 'Shinzen Akatsuki', which is completely different. Weird.

May I ask what happened yesterday? Did I miss something? I noticed there were more than 250posts in a blink.

About watches: there are many nice watches from Fossil for example without breaking the bank (~100$) and they will last definitely longer.
Those automatic movements aren't as reliable as original (and expensive) ones and the maintenance will definitely cost you much more that what you paid for the watch.
Besides, do you really want people around you wondering if the watch you bought is original or fake? In any case, all higher tier brands use brushed stainless steel and not mirror polish
Imaging you have the IE80 (one of the most counterfeited IEMs) people will always think yours if fake even without listening. I wouldn't trust anyone with a IE80...

idk but I've been using and dropping my lumia 920 pretty regularly without a case so i'm always confused when people say they need a case... but i can't expect everyone to convert to WP :'D

apple bought a sapphire production company sometime in the last 2 years so here's what came out of that. no other company has the resources to produce this on their display because sapphires don't grow on trees so this is just a premium thing for apple only in the near future, which makes sense given their business model. honestly you can basically assume someone's a clubber/partyer/pubber if their screen is broken. literally like 90% of broken screens are from dropping it in a bar/club/party.

This must be true because I drop my phone, literally and sadly, like 3-4 times a week. Probably once or twice a month onto the sidewalk, on average, and my screen has not broken.

It's because if this clumsiness that I have a case on mine. Literally the thinnest semi-hard shell I could find. It adds at most 2-3mm of thickness, which for me is more than acceptable. Phone is nowhere near as sexy as when it's in the buff though. But sometimes showing less is more.

Not sure about prosperous, considering every country is in debt nowadays, I'd say for America at least, we were the most prosperous in the '90s. Peaceful though, yes. At least in the civilized world.

That's okay, we all start out in the same position! :)
I'd suggest reading Joker's IEM review, they're some good reading, and fairly accurate from my experience, just keep in mind he prefers brighter headphones and may have different priorities for judging an IEM's score than you.
It depends on your budget. On the super low, Xiaomi Pistons are pretty good, I've heard good things about the Ostry KC06 too, along with the Zero Audio Tenore. It really depends on your preferred sound signature, and how tolerant you are to harshness.

Hmm, AKG fanboys, do the newer K701s sound exactly like the Q701s? Or is the Q701 just as harsh in the treble as the K?
If so, I'll have to disagree with you. The ER4-something I heard the other night was listenable, quite so. There was no harshness in the treble like I heard on the K701. Not only that but I was surprised by the bass, it's probably one of the best balanced armature bass presentations I've ever heard.

In terms of funness though, I still really enjoy the XBA-H3

Yep! That was a well written post.

Damn, pretty sure I have a 1.6 or later since my original xbox was bought in 2004-ish...
I should check my chipped xbox and free consoles I got as well

The KC06 is a bit harsher than the Tenore, in the treble, but I still wouldn't categorize it as harsh. The ER4S I had on loan was great. There was a wide-ish treble bump but the treble itself was powdery smooth and the bass was indeed extremely tight. It lacked a bit of body but went well with the rest of the sound so it gets a pass.

Just read this today at work, pretty cool extra I didn't know about for Windows!

I set mine to monitor HK and Japanese times, just for the lulz. XD

I for no reason at all have the world clock and weather apps on my iphone to show their respective information for Tokyo as secondary information.
