Ok correction

I've owned BAs and dynamics and thinking about the BA technology I thought it inherently wouldn't be as full bodied sounding. I guess this is an exception.

So my BA200 has been sitting a little lonely on my nightstand for quite a while. This morning I decided to plug it in to my new iPhone 5S and I think they may have just gotten a new lease on life. I thought they layered very well before, but ABing with my 4S, they almost sound flat in comparison. While through the 4S, the BA200 does sound more... romantic, through the 5S, it's very technically sound, showing off the new audio chain's better separation, layering, dynamics, and clarity.

Very good stuff. Highly recommended pairing for anyone that thinks the BA200 sounds a bit soft and lacking edge with their current pairing.

I like the character of the bass on the Heaven V Aging better, but the BA200 is definitely warmer sounding, even though it is less bassy. The HV is brighter in the midrange and more aggressive in dynamics.

Anyone know which etymotic filter changing tool is compatible with the BA200's? I bought the ER38-45E changing tool and it unfortunately ended up destroying one of the dampers. I couldn't pull out the damper either.

Do the BA200s become congested on faster tracks? Are they similar to the Sennheiser HD650 or the Sennheiser Momentums whose laid-back sound smears complex passages?

sample track?

Sorry… My internet connection is being a real pain so I can't even load youtube pages…

Here are the songs that sound congested over my Momentums (well those that came into mind):

Kanye West - All of the Lights
Muse - Micro Cuts
Muse - Citizen Erased
Blink-182 - Stay Together for the Kids
Panic! At the Disco - That Green Gentleman

These songs are played over the Momentums (which are relatively easy to drive) and an iPhone 5 as I'll be using the IEMs as a portable and not through my desktop set-up.

Sorry for the delay. The BA200 should hold up pretty well in terms of separation of images to the momentums that I briefly heard in the store, at the least. That's really one of its strong points, without sounding overdone and unrealistic. Some of those songs aren't mastered for good separation to begin with so that that doesn't really help. I like the tracks though lol.

The BA200 is better geared for depth than width fwiw.

I listened through the 5S for the record.

In honesty, I have to thank you for that. If you didn't reply as you did, I wouldn't have gone and bought them hehe. Believe it or not, they're better than my B2 in retrieving micro detail. Apparently it's not only in the higher frequencies with hidden detail… though the thinner presentation of the B2 leads to better separation but I just can't go back to its sibilance.

So you like it?
