I wear glasses, maybe that's the difference but my 558's are far more comfortable.

Got to agree. I can see where people are coming from with the headband bumps, but the pads are great. Every time I put them on after wearing my HP100's all day, it feels like I'm wearing just puffy air around my ears...

The HP100 is one of the most comfortable headphones I've tried, especially after I stuffed some cotton balls under it to make it deeper.
That's weird, the pads are really comfortable to me, on par with the X1 and better than the HD650.
I'm probably gona end up getting the Q 701's, but I need an amp to power them. I have a sound card in my mobo so I don't need a DAC at the moment, but maybe in the future. I was looking at either the Schiit Magni or Vali and was wondering what you guys thought or use to power your Q 701s. Thanks for any help!
Call me crazy, but I've never been bothered by the headband bumps..and I don't have a lot of hair for a cushion. I've always found my bumpy 701s extremely comfortable.
Would an Audio engine D1 be a sufficient source to power my newly purchased Q701's? I am currently running an Asus Xonar DGX but feel i need to upgrade a bit.
I think so, but Audioengine does a horrible job of providing necessary specifications to properly calculate.
