My friend bought some random TDK IEM that seemed pretty bad even on paper, and don't get me started on how it sounded muffled and bloated

Video should have been 1080p to give the intended impression, but I could not find high res. Enjoy, anyway :)

Just saying, because I know nothing about Stax headphones.

LCD-2 rev. 1 vs. LCD-2 rev. 2 (or actually the other way around):

I need better trained ears.

Oh I hadn't seen that previously on any television. I see the fruit of a lot of training sweat and discipline in practicing. It's a grand mosaic of many times the same thing... and it brings a huge sound! Haha... and a lot of bass, which is the "bête noire" (single problem) of every headphones IMO (the trial of getting good, visceral, bass).

I was unaware that I was wearing Stax every day... Fortunately my Stax only gain a minute per mont, provided I wind them the same time daily.

I'm glad you have made use of some consistency! Some people here have posted crazy pictures to represent what is after all always the same thing: a headphone.

Quote:
Sennheiser HD650: (great sounding! all around)

Sennheiser HD800: (overpowered preaching archetype, artificial background, just like the plastic housing... I'm an anti-HD800 too, I hate how everyone think it's the king)

AKG K340: (I have no idea how a mustache influence the sound of a headphone... a headphone for our old and experienced in life fathers)

Fostex T50RP: (making you road sick? I accept that, personally I enjoy my T50RP everyday)

Sony XB700: (a fun headphone?)

AKG K601: (a thin headphone?)

K701: (a very thin headphone!)

Denon D7000: (the opposite of thin!)

Stax SR-007 MK1: (Stax really is the best isn't it?)

This thread is really really cool.  Awesome idea OP.  The only way it could be better if there were no words in the thread, at all.  Pictures only.  No user explanations other than what headphones are being used; after all, if a picture truly is worth a thousand words, should you have to explain?  The best posts in this thread are those that require no explanation other than the headphones themselves.

This thread alone could sell me on upgrading headphones more than any other thread on this forum.  Currently considering HD 650 vs. HD800 and some of you alls' posts really make me want them.
