Yup I know what you mean, her days with Seawind and even her newer stuff sounds awesome. I remember first hearing her voice sing Follow Your Road and from then on Pauline Wilson remained as one of my favourite female vocalist.

A lot of people say Bob Dylan has a really bad singing voice, but I absolutely love it. I especially like his voice on Nashville Skyline.

What about Leonard Cohen or Neil Young?

(BTW, I'm a huge fan of all three...except for the quality of their singing voices, but for their music, it works).

I haven't really heard much from them, so I can't really compare. But I just love the raw, real sound of Dylan's voice. It's obviously not a perfect voice, but it's like having him sit in the room and sing to you, and you're catching every nuance of the emotions he's portraying.

I'd recommend you give them a try, they're brilliant (as is Dylan of course)...true Canadian icons.

Any particular albums? I'd go for a greatest hits album or something, but for most artists, greatest hits albums are pretty mediocre.

For Neil Young, I'd start with either Harvest or Live at Massey Hall. For Leonard Cohen, a greatest hits would be a great start.

I'll go Rob Halford. But not back in the 80's. I like his voice live today better than back then.

I haven't heard how he sounds recently, but in the '70's his vocal range was astounding!

x2, ive only got 3 songs from him, but as you said, they are very raw. What about Bill Withers, Celion Dion, Marvin Gaye, George Michael, Hall & Oats, Hinder, James Blunt, Jim Brickman, Journey, Lenny Kravitz, Men at Work, Owl City, Paul McCartney, Phil Collins, Rod Stewart, Ronan Keating, Stephan Bishop, Sting, Seal, Take That, Vanessa Carlton, and Whitney Huston. (I know your going to YouTube all of these
