HD600 & HD650 / cables

Wow, dude, that's three posts on the same topic (two being polls) in a very short period of time. You really want that cable, huh?

There's an existing poll, specific to ZU cable; 650+stock cable won (I think). Would suspect the same for your poll. There is also a great review by Tuberoller of several Senn cables, many got better marks.

Put a WTB in the Gear section; bet you find a good deal and can then post your findings for the rest of us 650 owners (I just ordered a ZU)....

Well, I actually have the HD600 / Cardas and I don't know what to do:

A. get the HD650 / stock and sell the HD600 / Cardas,

B. get the HD650 and replace the stock by the Cardas,

C. stay with my beloved HD600 / Cardas.

Yes, of course there is a D possibility (get the HD650 and Zu Moebius or an Equinox or a Silver Dragon), but this would mean even more money spent...

Understand… that's quite the pickle. How about:

- Buy the 650 and put the Cardas on it,
- Put the stock cable back on the 600s and sell to make another Headfier.
- Enjoy the 650/cardas until the 600s sell. Save the proceeds…..,
- Watch the ZU vs. Moon battle, or order one, taking advantage of the return policy,
- Sell the Cardas, combine with proceeds from 600, and purchase ZU vs. Moon.

Oh, no thanks needed; it's a pleasure to spend your money for you….. Lord knows everyone has helped me spend mine……

How about buy the HD650 and consider the Baley Audio cable or Jan Meier's new cable?

What's up with the complete disregard of the Equinox all of the sudden? It's like when Baskin Robbins comes out with the flavor of the month suddenly chocolate and vanilla sucks?

I agree the Stefan AudioArt cables are really nice on my AKG K-1000, and AKG-271. My Senn. 600 is going to get either an AudioArt. When I get the Senn 650, well then I get the Zu and I can switch the Zu and the AudioArt between the two Senns. Who says you can't have it all? Well I guess my spouse does

As for the first qu: I liked the HD650/Stock better than the HD580/Cardas (OK, so it REALLY didn't answer the first qu., but IS close)

I've pre-ordered the Moon for my 650's. Little les expensive than the Zu. I've owned and loved Zu before, had Julian and IBIS speaker cables (IBIS kicks audiophile butt, it does !). But tuberoller's great review really got me interested in the Moon Silver Dragons. So I'll try 'em.

I haven't even listened to my 650s since I sent the Silver Dragon cable back after our meet, I went back to the Senn 600 and Cardas combination. The 650 is patiently waiting for the Moon Audio cable!

I accidentally voted for the wrong choice. I think the HD650 is better than the HD600 regardless of cable, but the HD600 with cardas does reach a close second. In reality, it's +1 on the HD650/stock choice and -1 on the HD600/cardas poll choice. I screwed up hehe.
