AKG K3003 High End 3 Way System Headphone

All of this is great and pretty much every opinion on head-fi is subjective, which leads me back to my original comments. The K3003 is overpriced at $1K or more. It's a great deal if you can find it in the below $800 range, as a few dealers are selling it for now. the K3003 is an excellent earphone, however, it MSRP doesn't match its performance in my opinion (based on all the other earphones I've heard). I hold to that opinion. I hope those of you who are interested in it and plan to purchase it don't pay $1K or more for it. In the end, you will be happier with your purchase.

The K3003 is overpriced?I was reading a lot about ROXANNE,LAYLA and K3003! in my Opinion, most of the K3003 Users don't know that the K3003 can sounds MUCH MUCH better with the right EAR TIPS,and with the the right Tips including perfect seal and isolation the K3003 sounds better than the ROXANNE!!!so i think Roxanne is in this case overpriced!!

Sorry for my bad english

I never heard the Roxanne or Layla, so you just may be right. I do most people who have heard the Roxanne, Angie and Layla say that the latter two are much better than the former. And those sirens may be overpriced too. But I've just spent three hours listening to the K3003, my custom 1964 EARS V6 and the Angie. All three are wonderful earphones, but there is something in the tuning of the Angie that just pulls way ahead to my ears. Someone suggested earlier that it's my preferred sound signature, but that's not really it. First, if you look at my signature below at my list of favorite earphones, it's clear that I like a variety of sound signatures. Some things you can't explain to others, however, unless they've heard everything you've heard. And if there disagreement then that's fine too. I have tried to stress this is my opinion. Some have responded as if I've slammed the K3003, and I haven't . Hell, I still own it and I'm not trying to get rid of the K3003, but that Angie! ....lol

Okay, y'all got me! I just like the name Angie (have a crush on her). Can't pull a fast one on any of you. Happy listening.

any pics/links available ?

btw , has anyone tried another tips than the stock? impressions ?

eric, no one is attacking you - and we know you like K3003 and you can like another iem more  than the K3- we only have problem with opinions that are biased and have hidden agendas behind them and are made in order to manipulate the 'truth' - your opinion isn't one of these opinions

cheers

Kinda fell in love with these today upon auditioning them. The fit/comfort is awesome with cable worn over ear.
They definitely do highs better than my SE846.

How's the cable durability on the K3003i? And how lenient is AKG regarding warranty swaps if cable goes kaput?

sorry but subjectivity doesn't excuse flawed logic

No, it doesn't excuse it, but yet it's still tolerated. No need to keep apologizing.

don't think that anyone's gotten defensive about your comments, we've just questioned the logic behind them is all. you prefer the angie to the k3003 and that's cool. that's your personal preference - nuff said.
