Best Denki here has a high-end headphone table with Luxman P-1u, Audio Technica amps and SACD players. The local Yodobashi just re-organised the headphone section, but there is nowhere to sit. I did spend an hour in there listening to high-end IEMs and other headphones with my own (portable) gear.  I wouldn't mind spending a couple of hours in Akihabara again sometime though.

DXC just doesn't compare =(

South Korea has excellent stores too, but expect to pay twice or three times the price you pay in the united states.

The Yodobashi Camera in Kyoto has the same set-up as Flying Bear's photos. The seated listening area has Marantz SA-15S2's and Fostex PH-100 HP amps. There was also a Denon DCD-1650SE with Luxman P-1u powering a set of HD-800's. I was there on a weekday and there were no customers about, actually spent 5 hours at the seated listening area.
