What foams would you guys recommend if the orange tips fit me best?

I'm testing the blue foam right now, definitely not as comfy as the orange, it feels bulky after a while

Hi all,

These have been on my wish list for ages, but I had SE535 LEs which I recently sold and upgraded to UM Miracles. The Miracles require a remould/refit on the right ear so I've ordered a pair of GR07 mk2 and can't wait!

Hope you like them mate

I agree. Wish the orange were a bit longer...

so, my beloved gr07's might be on the verge of death. now there's a problem where if i move the cable a certain way, the sound doesn't entirely disappear, but basically it's like muffled? hard to explain. i notice it's when i move the cable down towards the connector. i assume this must mean a wire is frayed or something. is there anything i can do now other than pay to have them recabled?

Good choice. I'm very curious how much better the Miracle is than gr07 and if they are comparable in any aspect of sound reproduction.
Please post some impressions when you burn in your pair.

Check with BTG audio. They may be able to help.

Will do. Unfortunately may have just missed out on stick from the local supplier, but will try lendmeurears next.

From short auditions of GR07 in the past,I know the Miracles are better (as you'd expect) but I think they are similar in signature and presentation. It'll be interesting to see how my memory serves me.

Hi Guys newbie here...

I've been lurking this thread for quite sometime, Head-Fi in general :D
Anyways, GR07 MKII is just fantastic in its price point imo, listening to it for about a month and half now and sometimes fell sleep with it. lol

Anything I throw in it from Alternative, Rock, Blues, Classical, Jazz, Pop  I just enjoy listening to these..
the separation is great, the highs-mids-low for me is very neutral, non-fatiguing...

Just want to share my appreciation.. Money well spent ...

I have a similar problem with my gr07s. My right channel sometimes cuts off or makes some scratching noise when the cable near the plug moves around. Im thinking that its a problem with the plug itself and Im thinking of getting it re-terminated. I've contacted Brian from BTG audio and he told me to verify that its the gr07s and not my other hardware that's causing the problem. Im very sure it's the plug but Im having my friend very the problem before I send them out to Brian.

Anyone else have similar problems or have gotten a successful repair?

I haven't had the problem myself, but it's not uncommon to have a broken core in a cable near the plug because it's where the cable tends to bend most. It's also a pretty easy fix (for someone used to soldering terminations). Your GR07s should make a full recovery!

I don't know, but I've been seriously considering transplanting the drivers into another shell.

I feel like the current housing is severely holding it back the performance, causing the sibilance, and limiting the soundstage height.

I've just emailed these people about the possibility of custom shelling them
