fair enough,,i am fine with bundled ones.

so how many hours have u clocked on these??and whats the sibilance and treble level on these??
I only heard sibilance in the first couple of days. I'm now well over the 300 hours burn in. I've had them for a few months now. The treble is quite well extended but no longer harsh for me like it was at the beginning

Not sure but all the IEMs I've owned are in my sig and profile. I haven't tried customs but I kind of think you can't really upgrade from the GR07s without going to something like the JH13s which I'm currently considering. I use IEMs whenever I need the portability and isolation but usually I try to use my cans whenever I can. It sounds silly but I've been carrying my TH600s or my mad dogs with me as a portable lately

i don't know, maybe the ones bundled with the pair are bad!!

but my brainwavz m3 foam tips alo have similar effect!!

but why is everyone trying sony hybrid tips??are gr07 mk2 tips not fitting u guys??
itoo have sony hybrids but i haven't tried them as gr07 tips fit me easily,i use the largest foam filled tips

i personally think the foam that came with the gr07s are trash and they re-expand far too fast

i've used some comply (forgot the exact model) the one with wax guard and shure olive foams both on my klipsch s4

if anything both makes the bass bigger

the complys have been known to make the sound bassier (midbass happy more than anything) due to the material used in the inner core (rather than the effect of the foam) plus obviously the seal

but reduces the treble ---> made my klipsch s4 less siblant and harsh, good in that aspect but reduced it too much for my liking (the treble is not controlled on the klipsch anyway)

the shure foams makes the makes the subbass more pronounced while bumping a bit on the midbass. the treble becomes more recessed as a result but not as dramatic as the complys

i'm using the sony hybrids because of the material used seals very well, i have tried all the gr07 tips the bigger black one fit me best but the despite the sheer quantity of the amount of tips given the quality of the tips are not very good imo

the my custom hybrids seal out best. plus it somehow its presentation makes the treble less siblant (even though it warms up the sound) i dunno why can;'t really explain

I mostly enjoy my GR07 BEs far more than my UE900s. I've heard my mates SE535 and I don't think its better, just a different sound. Like I said not much of an upgrade path for IEMs once you've had the GR07s but that's just IMO. You could spend an extra $500 and get maybe 5% better sound, but that's how it is in this hobby. I will eventually go customs just to see what the fuss is about and aiming to have one that can fulfill all my needs but I don't think I'll find that holy grail.

I've never heard these others. I got into headfi quite late, like May this year so I haven't really tried much phones yet.

Worth opening if you want to try out a different sound. Might be a sound that you like more than the GR07, you never know
