Hisoundaudio STUDIO-V Review

Is there any way the Studio V can play .alac files? I archive my collection in .flac and .alac, but some of the time only add tags and art to .alac for my iPod Classic. I'm considering Studio V and don't want to go over my collection all over again :frowning2:

Why not just make a copy of the files you intend to put on the Studio V and convert those over so that you still can keep your files in alac an djust keep a specific set in FLAC on the Studio.

Converting between flac and alac is insanely quick. I use ffdshow.exe in musicbee, pretty much takes a few seconds. for an album.

Well I am running an i7 920 and the encoder is using 7 threads at normal priority. but still.

Not sure if you were experiencing a glitch. I tend to get this glitch if I set volume to 0 and turn Studio V off and back on. Not sure if this is only exhibited when playing directly from the "Now Playing" screen but I noticed the volume was noticeably less, and less dynamics. I think this may be a glitch and you actually are using the BA firmware. If this is the case it could be a helpful glitch as you have access to both firmwares on the fly :).

We have just released a new version of STUDIO 3rd Anniversary.

This player will have no hiss with TF10 , SE 530 or some high sensitive earphoens. The sound quality is also improvement.

  Hello Cryok95

So i went to Hisound to try to find pricing and specifications on the Studio V 3rd anniversary but there is nothing there..

What can you tell me about it ? I am pretty keen on upgrading my source from the BA. How much is it ?

  Thanks

Sauntere you can try to PM Jack (hisound) to see if you can get a unit and do a review on it. If you do qualify you can get the unit for half off under the condition that you do a review here on headfi. I do have the Studio V 3rd ANV on me and can tell you the hiss has been significantly reduced compared to its older sister. The sound quality is also an improvement IMO (the treble is more controlled and there is more clarity/transparency). The Studio V sound quality wise is on a different level over the Rocoo BA IMO.
