Thanks! But when I emailed them directly, and since I'm in HK, they were quite nice to answer my questions and gave me the price list (in RMB) of their products. Shame that their X5 is universal only or I would like to see how their dynamic+BA monitor is like.

They told me it uses all different drivers. So it is similar in that it has quad armatures and a single dynamic, but I guess the similarities stop there. They were not able to articulate exactly what the tuning might be like in comparison to the Merlin though - I don't think they had heard a Merlin to compare.

I have a feeling we might get some impressions on the Rooth stuff sometime in the near future. Joe?

When I asked about the LS5X, they only have a universal version and don't have a custom version.

Oooh okay, I only asked because you deleted the information about this company on the front page. 
 
You also got the X5?! The company told me they didn't make customs for that...

Of course I had to listen to these things, and Merlin's they are not, at least not the demo I heard.  I do have to say that in my short time with them I am pretty impressed with the overall sound, but still need more time with them.  I also have a demo LS8 and LS8+, among other things.  I compared the demo LS8 and my custom LS8 and plan on starting a new thread with all my thoughts from the demos using the LS8 demo vs. my custom LS8 as a baseline.

I deleted the info from the front page?  What section are you talking about as I saw the LS8+ and LSX5 in the manufacturer section, which is the only place I had both of them.  Tomo from HFI told me that initially they were going to sell them as universals with a coupon to convert them into customs, but will be going full custom now.

Yep, they are.  To my knowledge, this is all there at the moment.
