Isn't it remarkable that "burn-in" almost always results in BETTER SQ?  Why don't components ever "burn-out"?  This alone seems to indicate to me that most of the phenomenom is simply adaptation.

Hi! guys! I have a question here. How d it work when I put my musical fidelity v-can and hd600 together?! Is the v-can too weak to free the potential of the cans?! if let you choose from 1-10 as the levels how the capability of hd600 be carried out, which will you give when with a v-can. Thanx!

I did not like them with my Xcan V8.  It did not power them well.  When I paired them with an Asgard, it was a whole different story.  The Asgard is not an expensive amp, and likely there are better, but I'm not going to find out.  My wallet is safe because I am very satisfied as is.

The Asgard 1 and Magni are very similar. Magni being a little brighter IMHO. The Modi is a very good DAC for it's price point. I have all three and use them with my modded HD580s. I liked the Asgard so much I sold the Magni and Modi stack. I just use my HiFimediy Sabre DAC now.

madwolfa just replaced his drivers because they were worn out (a couple pages back). But it usually takes a long time before that happens.

OMG!!! just received the bottlehead crack + speedball i ordered, i've never thought music could sound this good.. i started to tear up as a unstoppable reaction to the experience, i almost can't listen to it as i feel i'm unworthy to hear these sounds that are floating around me so ethereal. BY THE STARS! literally taking my breath away.
 
listened to around 5 songs on it so far and just wow, wow, wow! mindblowing.
 
don't even know how to describe it except heavenly or ethereal.
 
listening to Sugar Ray - Spinning Away from the beach soundtrack atm and it's transcendent. :O

seriously! i thought it wouldn't live up to the massive hype, i knew it would be great just didn't think it would be as mindblowing as some have described but it's beyond anything i imagined.
mine has been slightly modified by the previous owner and have a good cable though so i'm not sure what extra effects that has from the standard basic version but whoa... i know sometimes people overreact when they first get something new (myself included) but this isn't the case for this time. no exaggeration. ethereal transcendental experience.
 
afraid to even listen to 2 of my favorite snow patrol songs, i might pass out lol. (purposely over exaggerated that time )
going for it, if i don't respond in 10min i passed out.

around 8-9 songs in i already need a break. sorry to everyone for making it seem like you have to get one of these but i had to let the excitement and energy out. :O
 
one negative thing i did notice is the heat, people weren't lying when they said tube amps got hot.

LOL again. The Crack doesn't even get that hot for a tube amp. Other amps REALLY get hot!
