My only concern is that I may need to get a side tightened in a year or so. I try not to move them but IDK other people using them may make the right side here a little slippy. Not a big problem at all. Also, with all this discussion I was interested in knowing if anybody has ever measured their ears for discrepancy. I have what amounts to a 1-1.5 dB difference in my ears. This can be heard most clearly with music that is obviously front and center. Think any mono recording or good traditional stereo setup. Anybody ever actually measure their ears or try to see if one ear hears lesser than the other?

How do you tighten it?

Send it in lol. I tried myself it did not work made it slightly worse but quite honestly I don't care it is not bad now and these have two years. I will probably send them in after a year or so.

It is the seal that needs to be repressed and cannot be done manually by user unless you have the parts. But again it is not bad I just think over time it may be bad. I also don't quite like the scratching on the metal ladder that happens when you move to a different rung. But these are small quibbles. If these were 500 though I would be a little pissed.

err.. 300 is pretty serious to me, even a $70 px-100 doesn't need a yearly maintenance like that. scks. i bought mine to a person locally and can't use the warranty to send them in. :/

Glad to see that this forum has moved back into the admiration that the 1350's deserve. If my Rx3 hadn't opened up the soundstage so much in my JH16's then the 1350's would be my go to headphone. I still really love them and would still love them even if they cost $500.

Actually...mine did cost that much after I had them rewired...probably more. But still worth it for such a great sounding and stylish portable can.

Just placed my order.

It's the first time I've ever bought a headphone without hearing them first, but there's simply nowhere in my area to try these things.

*fingers crossed*

Congrats, just wondering, but sound signature do you prefer at the moment, any particular headphone? and what is your source that you gonna use with the DT1350

In the past, I've always preferred a very bright sound, but I think my tastes are starting to mellow out.  I sold off my Grado SR80i and Shure 940 in favor of the DT880 250 ohm.  They're a little treble slanted, but not so much that the music doesn't have any weight to it.  It feels balanced, detailed, and smooth.

Listening through a basic Audinst HUD-mx1.  It's entry level, but sounds nice to me without adding any obvious coloration.

I think DT1350 will be a good buy, it is not that heavy flavoured but also not that bright...but still more towards bright sounding on the scale tho. The funny thing is I am actually listening with my DT1350 thru MX-1 right now.

Hi all,

I'd like to add that I asked Beyerdynamic for a review sample of the DT1350. No response yet but I assume I'll get to try one after I get the T70 and T90.

So I've read this thread from start to finish. I also didn't have the chance to test the DT 1350's but took the plunge and ordered last week.

I've had them 3 days and having done a side-by-side comparison with my friend's HD 25-1 II's yesterday, I was all set to put them on Ebay. I was so disappointed. I've read so much about getting the correct seal etc, and despite moving, clamping etc on my ears, they had very little bass.

Then last night I read on another forum to line up the rear edge of my ears with the inside edge of the padded rings. Oh my goodness. It was an epiphany! Like night becoming day! The bass is soooo deep...they literally came alive.  Needless to say, I'm over the moon and ebay won't be getting my business.

I thought I'd stop lurking and sign up just to post this in the hope the advice above about placement on the ear may help someone else out there who's in the same position I was until last night. (And thanks from me to the poster on Headphonia).

Thanks for that.  I'll definitely keep that tip in mind...

One of those pieces of leather on the headband is getting loose on my DT1350's. There is still some glue on it but it moves when I put it on my head and it even hurts a little when I take the headphones from my head. Has anyone encountered this problem? Is it possible to reglue the leather to the headband or should I send the pair in for repair?
