Amps that can drive the HiFiMan HE-6 planar headphones

I received my hardwired HE-6 back from BTG Audio today! Preproman, you're absolutely right, they sound more refined now taking that slight treble sharpness off, woo hoo! Pretty awesome deal for a 12ft. Sunset cable, installation and banana plugs for under $300!

Thanks Brian, great job!

It's his TOTL 8-strand copper cable. He does have a Silver-plated Copper cable that is a bit more expensive. I'll update later with some pics. The braiding is beautiful and there's no crackly connections :)

Here's the pics as promised. Note the RED heatshrink is right, BLACK is left, then the banana plugs' red/black are the +/-

WOW on that amp.  Looks really nice.  Impressions....  Is it a warm amp.  Looks like a vintage amp from the outside.  Modern in the inside.

I think it is maybe a bit warm, but i believe that's because it's just so incredibly dynamic. This thing shakes my house more than the Emotiva XPA-500 does

There's just no shortage of power and zero congestion across the board. It's single-handedly the best audio purchase i have ever made, and i've gone through about $50k worth of stuff. Something i will keep for atleast a decade i imagine, unless i hit the lottery or something lol. Give it a demo if you can!

What DAC are you using with it?  Or does it have an internal DAC?

I'm using the Yulong DA8 (i really need to update my sig) with the digital pre-amp to the amp's "direct-in". Once i listen to it that way for about a week, i'm going to put the DA8 into "pure mode" and connect it to a line-in and see how the Yammy's pre-amp fares. I'm hoping the yammy pre will be better so i can use my remote! One of the best measuring DACs and amp combined with the HE-6? Yes please!

As a side note, I have a BH Crack + Speedball with tons of upgrades incoming, and....HD-800 coming Friday! Major good times ahead for me indeed.
