Well, I've heard the sr225i's aren't really a worthwhile upgrade over the sr80i's.
What do people think of the Ultrasone HFI-780's, and the AiAiAi TMA 1's? I listen to a lot of electronic music.

I have and love the TMA-1s, but they're definitely a headphone best suited for electronic stuff. Also be aware that they're on-ear, not over-ear.

Absolutely best suited for Electronic music. I really enjoyed my time with them. Have considered picking up the Beatport Edition sometime here in the near future.

Does anyone know how long this soundearphones deal will last? I'm really tempted to pick up some SR225is for $150, but payday is tomorrow and I want to discuss a bit with my girlfriend to make sure it doesn't cause an issue for our upcoming trip.

My HFI-580s were amazingly amazing on electronica but so-so with anything else.
In fact, with such emphasized bass/treble and the S-logic thing going on, they made everything sound like electronica anyway.

Grados for electronica seems bleh.

The 780s are a little more balanced and works a little better for a wider range of music. Still sound very good with EDM because of the great bass response that the Ultrasone HFI series has.

soundearphones.com price matches, hence you could price match it for $157, then use the gift cards for a further discount of around $37.50, putting the grand total around $120.5.

That's cool :)

It says the deal is until Sept. 20th so I don't know exactly when it ends.  Maybe give them a call tomorrow

I just ordered some Beyerdynamic DT 880s from Amazon for $240

I know that's not a spectacular deal...

I'm just so excited that I needed to tell someone

I love the 880s, congrats. They're neutral but pack a good bass thump in my opinion. On my side, I got the HD 600s (with the thicker HD650 cable) today in the mail and I'm super excited about those.

I'm seriously considering spending $600 to get the $800 Burson HA-160 on that soundearphones.com deal to drive my HD650.

Damn you guys... I hate you all.

Yeah, it was down to the HD600, HD650, K702 and DT 880 for me. Out of that prestigious group the 880 is merely the cheapest.
The K 702s look cooler but I already have K 240s for that purpose...

Now hopefully an awesome deal on a cheap basic tube amp pops up
