Hard to say since ED 7 is much more expensive then the ED 8 or ED 9.

Headphones like this really start to piss me off and give a bad precedent for headphone hobby in general.  Manufacturers of headphones are getting more and more greedy like in the speaker world.  New models look more and more showy and aren't much more than extravagant materials and finishes without much warranted performance improvement.  No matter how you look at the $3200 price, these are super poor value no matter how you cut it, since all they are is 2 headphone drivers attached to a metal frame and with leather earpads!  To me, Ultrasone is acting a lot like the cell phone manufacturer Vertu, where the cell phones are utter crap Nokias that are embellished in leather, wood, and crystals only for the sake of exclusivity.

I'm a major Ultrasone fangirl, so I determined that these needed to be mine before I even read through this thread. Then I saw the price.

I think I deflated into myself like they do on Ren & Stimply, making that sound a balloon makes when you let the air squeel out of it.
