marketing company ever. As far as their equipment...

Anyone ever see this new display they have at Bose stores? They hooked up headphones to some plastic container with styrofoam inside. When the headphones turn on the styrafoam bounces. Wow, no other headphones do that

Bose IS the best...

For me to Poop on.

Disclaimer: Actually I don't know if Bose is really all that bad. But it seems the masses have decided Bose is horrible. Therefore I will join the masses and mindlessly bash Bose because I greatly enjoy Name brand slander.

Oh, come on. Even if (hypothetically speaking) bose doesn't deserve *all* the bashing they get around here, the bashing serves to blow off steam and build a sense of comradery. Think of it as a head-fi stress reduction technique. This net-ecosystem may not be able to suvive without it!

?

Despite threads like this one, this the intellectual center of the internet.

It's a big boon knowing that your favorite hobby internet forum is also the peak of intelligent discussion overall, so to speak. But also on the flipside kind of depressing: what about everything else? I've really been let down by most online message boards. The fact that I have stayed here for over seven hundred posts' worth of material is a testament to the quality of head-fi.

Cheers,

Sorry... this may be the "good sound" center of the Internet (or one of them anyway), but Head-Fi is in no way an "intellectual" forum. Lots of money, escapism, wallet damage, pricey headphones and gear, light chat about music... not much in the way of deep thought happening around here. Intellectually speaking, this is all very shallow, narrow stuff.

"If it sounds good, it is good"... true or false, that's a non-intellectual statement. For better or worse, this forum is focused on emotions, escapism and pleasure seeking. Purely an entertainment forum, and in no way a scientific forum (except maybe some of the DIY talk).

Just MHO and 2 cents worth. BTW, this is not a complaint -- I'm in here with everyone else, and enjoying it.

P.S. if Steve would leave over a little Bose-bashing, let 'im go... sorry to see him leave (I've enjoyed his posts a lot), but that's a very silly reason to depart Head-Fi.
