But is it exactly the same? I've fallen in love with the DBA-02's. The way it looks now is that I will have to open a report at my local post office to get a refund for the insured package I sent for repair of my channel-imbalanced DBA-02's. GD-Audiobase STILL hasn't responded. I will also contact my credit card company to try to get my money back from there.
 
If I get my money back from either of these parties I directly want to order another pair of DBA-02's from Musica Acoustics if possible. I believe this seller has great reputation right? Or should I just go with a good, trusted seller of Brainwavz B2 and should I get those? Does it matter?

I noticed that Bugden Audio is cheaper than Musica's sale price even. But they are on backorder and you can save another $5 if you preorder while on backorder. Thought I'd let you know what i found in case you want to save some $.

i believe it is, never heard the dba-02 but i had a loaner unit sent to me by brainwavz and what i heard sounded exactly like what i read of the dba-02, hell they looked exactly the same save for the cable (silve vs the braided copper dba-02 cable) which would have accounted for the sibilant sound which shouldn't be a problem anymore since they reverted to the original cable, also, brainwavz usa is currently having a deal, $129 for the b2's, great buy IMO

I've been having problems with my DBA2's fir the past months regarding channel imbalance. But for the past 1 week now of daily use, problem hasn't recurred so far. Am keeping my fingers crossed. Ordered a pair of B2's for back up. Hope they won't disappoint me

That is the only thing I got after more than 7 e-mails and > 4 weeks of waiting without any response. I'm still waiting on my money, will keep you updated if I get it refunded. I lost the $20 for sending them back with insurance too.
 
I'm ordering these babies from Musica Acoustics and will never do business with GD Audiobase ever again.

Do your research here on Budgen audio before ordering, is my adivce.

Hey dog... You are right.
The B2 and DBA-02 are virtually identical. The B2's are now $130 on Amazon for US purchase.
The build is identical, the sound is identical (except for maybe the slightest attenuation of the extreme highs). But I've been listening to them continuously for the last few weeks, and for all intents and purposes, they are a Black and Red version of the DBA-02.
 
Kind of a no-brainer.

FYI, I e-mailed Dimitri from Musica Acoustics with a question about the DBA-02 and he mentioned the following:

didnt have a problem with my demo units regarding channel.inbalance, sorry typed on a tiny tablet

Yeah these are just like the DBA-02's. Lovin' em again. Instrument separation, brightness (without the DBA-02 sibilance!), perfect fast and snappy bass. Placebo - Without You I'm Nothing is bliss with these!
