They told me a while back that they won't be releasing any news update anymore until they are totally ready for launch. So in short, no, I don't think anyone has a firm release date yet.

I've just spunked £320 on W4's so I'm in no rush...... I know I will buy them when they are released (Q-jays are one of my all time favourite IEM) so the longer it is, the more likely I'll have saved the cash.

I believe Jays going to be the first brand with a quad drive universal. I could think other brands going to follow up on this later maybe. If it gonna happen this year, time will tell.

What happened to this?

I guess they decided to cancel that one, don't know why though. They were gonna make a shirt-clip too, I contacted them a while ago and asked about it and they told me they only made a prototype but decided against selling them. Don't know why, I'm sure they had their reasons.

They have released a few new ones this year though, the A-Jays Four for the iPhone, with an answer button and two other buttons.
I recently saw that they are about to release a model called the A-Jays One+, it has a mic and an answer button as well, but no other buttons. It's supposed to be for android (and other) phones, but also other ones that have a 3.5mm jack. The negative thing (in my opinion) is that it's unfortunately not going to work with Sony Ericsson, Nokia, and some Samsung phones.

It will however work with an iPhone, HTC, some Samsung phones (I believe all Samsungs that were released after the Galaxy S). That sucks for me since I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo.
I wish they'd make two versions, one for each type of 3.5mm plug. All they'd have to do is switch the place of two wires when they're making the plug.

So basically, they've made two headsets that are compatible with iPhones this year.

And oh yeah, they're gonna release an Android headset app along with the A-Jays One+.

And yeah I know you can use an adapter to make the iPhone-compatible 3.5mm plugs work on Sony Ericsson/Nokia/etc, but that looks really really ugly. I have a pair of the A-Jays Four and an adapter, but I've never used them with my phone just because it looks so bad.

Aren't Westone 4 and 4R quad drive iems, no?

I only stumbled upon this old presentation showing what might be just more vaporware.

Seem Jays had also one triple armature iem in their mind named z-jays.
