How much would you pay for aluminum forks?

I think you'd find some takers in the $80/100 range. The lower price the more units you'd move. offered in black and silver.

It has been suggested that a stronger cup mount lessens vibration and improves SQ- i had read an article about this earlier. However, considering aesthetics only, i had received some interest surrounding this idea earlier from head-fi'ers.

Don't go there, you'll loose all credibility.

This would sell also. Black & silver.

I'm skeptical. I think if you could make these gimbles, you might find somebody willing to buy them, but it seems like can worship taken to the extreme. A gimble holds an earpiece to a headband. I can't imagine how something that far from the business end of the headphone should have any appreciable impact on the sound. On the other hand, if you can machine them, go for it.

I want locking ones. I would be willing to pay $50?

I agree with Baka-mon. Around $75.00 for me, too. To put things in perspective, I can get very nice wood bowls for <$150, which I think have a much bigger cosmetic effect. Regarding your gimbal assembly, anodized would be nice -- maybe with matching anodized (and more open) grills. I do think it is a nice idea if you can make the numbers work.

$75, or something around there. About the same for L and R blocks with locking screws, like the ones on the HP1000.
Aluminum cups might be interesting as well.

$75 sounds not too crazy. If they help at all with vibration, it'd have to be at quite loud volumes I'm willing to bet (because I've been pondering that, for example, markl's original complaints about Denons had at least partly to do with the excessive volumes he is reputed to listen at).

I definitely think the L and R blocks would be more useful and have a higher demand.

I would like these if they were articulated/indexed to "lock" into position. I love the tightness of my ESW9's that allows me to adjust toe-in and maintain that position indefinitely. For me, this would be a huge functional-plus on the Grados.
