Do Walkmans still have the crappy, proprietary software? I had a Walkman a couple of years ago and the player was OK but the desktop software was unbearable. That was probably because I had an ancient computer, and have got a much better one since then.

According to the 728 and/or 729 forum participants, check 'Sony 728 review' there is no Sonic Stage hassle with software. If I'm correct you can work it out with Windows Media Player 11, I'm on Vista.

Ask them if you like, I already did. The Sandisks, even the older ones could be good too. Just check out your user guide and software for weird settings. My sister's E280 had some issues with her playlists.

I'm thinking about the Fuze, too. I like the bigger screen and the battery life is much better than the Clip+ (28 hours over 15)

EDIT: Just saw that I can get a 16GB MicroSDHC card for AU$61, add that to a 4GB Fuze ($95), and I've got a 20GB pocket player for under $200.

Would the Fuze fall over when browsing through, say, 5000 songs?

$156 sounds a bit pricy compared to other players I considered a week ago, might aswell get a T51 (S:Flo 2) for a bit more at that price if I'm not mistaken (16GB For AUD203, with extras). Though I dont personally have much experience with players, the information and impressions I've seen are positive, out of the Cowon s9, P3 and Fuze, picked the T51 - its arriving soon!

I want a player for running, which is why I'm thinking about the small Fuze / Clip+. I like the card slot, too.

@midoo1990 Haven't got that much cash, IE8 AU$400 + Touch AU$300 = $700, I only want to spend ~$200. I'm very happy with the PL50s. And it's hard to go running with a touch in your pocket.

@WalkGood I want the Clip+ with the Clip's scroll wheel. You can't have 10GB+ of music with up and down buttons

I'm still leaning towards the Fuze, doesn't look like there's any other options.

Ah...I thought you had the touch but wanted something else, that's why i suggested ie8(investing in an IEM is better than investing in the source IMHO),my bad.the clip+ or the fuze will be fantastic although I think the clip+ is better for rough work because the fuze is heavier and the screen can crack if dropped(it's a thin plastic).good luck .

Thanks. I want the Clip+, but I'm not sure about navigation. I can't imagine scrolling through a few thousand songs on this thing with the up and down buttons.

I'm not wasting much money by buying a Clip+, so I may as well bite the bullet.

Head-Direct.com | YUIN

Unless I'm missing something, it seems that you can get them shipped to Australia for $90 USD...if so I would highly recommend that route; the RE0 are amazing! Just search the forum. Also the Fuze is awesome. I have no problems with scrolling through my library of 1200 songs; the interface doesn't get sluggish. However it takes longer to initiate your library, but after that's done you're set.

Well, I would definitely suggest the Cowon S9, but if I remember it correctly, it costs quite a bit over in Europe...

I would certainly recommend the s:flo2/T51 if you plan on listening to that sort of music. The sound on the S:Flo2 is very good, i can't get enough of it right now.
