Torn between Denon 2000 and hd650

if you are torn betweeen the two then perhaps you should choose something totally different

I ended up ordering a denon ahd5000, i think itll do the job. Worse case scenario I can send em back if I don't like em.

and congratz on your new headphones, just wait until you jaw will drop on the floor. I was about to suggest you to go for the denons and you just made the right decision and went for the upscale D5000 model. get a nice amp for them to enjoy their full potential, THEY NEED IT.

way to go dude!... I think you are set for a while. never heard the compass but it supposed to be nice and sufficient enough for the denons. it is a dac also?

Where did you end up buying your headphones from?

I would give Ultrasone PRO750 a try. They are fantastic cans IMO - great deep and very punchy bass, accurate mids and sparkly treble + tons of detail. They sound great even unamped.
