5) BRING YOUR CAMERA AND TAKE PICS
6) Take notes and post your impressions.

PM Orcin if you need a list of hotels, directions, or have other questions.

We can always use more folding tables, card tables, etc. so bring 'em if you got 'em.

We'll try to organize a dinner after the meet just like last year. I think the pub will still let us in.

Someone please bring a fire extinguisher or two... you know who you are.

Snacks are good, especially that sausage and cheese! Mmmm...

Post here if you are interested, so we can work the crowd into a frenzy by October. Hope to see you there! More details to follow.

Houston Meet

Count me in for the meet as Joel indicated.

I talked to Jack Woo today about my order for Woo 6SE, and encouraged him to send some gear to our meet for demo. He will let Ken know.

I will need more room this time.

I want everyone to listen to my heavily modded and tweeked Music Hall MFF 5 turntable. It sounds really good. I have been working on it for the last year and a half.

My Gear that I would like to bring

Marantz DV-7001, SACD/CD/DVD player
Modded & Tweaked Music Hall MMF5 Turntable
GCPH Phono Preamp
Goldring 1042 cartridge

Pacific Valve Yaquin Tube Buffer w/ Amperex Holland NOS Tube

Woo 6SE Headamp
AKG-K701 Cardas rewired
Modded & Cardas Rewired Grado SR225

I can't wait till I get my Woo 6 SE.

I will do a post with pictures on my turntable mods and tweaks soon.
Micheal, I am looking forward to listening to your turntable. I was hoping to listen to a nice analog source at last year's meet and at CanJam. Unfortunately, because of the little incident with the fire last year and lack of time at CanJam, I didn't get to. I will make sure I don't miss out this time!!!

I will see if I can make the drive down there for the meet. I will bring as much as I can fit (depends on which car I use).
Alex: It would be great to have you at the meet if you can make it!

Also, I am really enjoying the APS cable I just got for the HD800. Your work is really nice.

No problem! We have you covered, although we will miss the cart.

We may have something for you to use on that turntable...

We will save your usual spot, since we know the monitor will work there.

Overclockers.net will be well-represented with you and I, plus Gollie has confirmed by PM that he will be there. Any chance that we can talk Aura into coming down? We need to work the OCN Headphone Club thread, don't we?

Hey guys I hate to be a bummer, but since I'm the first to raise questions about finances and exclusions in this meet thread...

http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f24/l-...r-17-a-439527/

I think it's important that we be very open about things here, and try to follow the tradition Head-Fi "Any member is welcome" philosophy in our meet.

With Orcin at the helm I think that's quite simple to do.

As far as those members who might not be able to attend due to lack of funds, I'd suggest a kitty to be collected and used for extra attendees that might be strapped for cash.

I'll be the first to pledge to donate two extra admission fees to be used in such a way.

If the kitty has any leftovers we could simply donate them to Head-Fi.

Does that sound reasonable? Any thoughts either way?

If you guys need help covering meet costs just shoot me a PM and I'll send Steve a set of IC's to bring to the meet to either raffle or auction.

Thanks buddy!

That's very cool of you!
