Or you could pass it on to someone else on the list that is in your state or close (hint - me - AZ) and save on shipping and someone else who is waiting. Could be win win.
See if Todd is willing to do something like that!

Lastly, does anyone know if I can return it? |

I ordered last night. Only found out about these by accident. Haven't been here for a while. Do the whiners want any cheese with their "whine"? Either order or don't, but enough with the hand wringing. My HF-1 #258 are my current favorite cans. I also have Headphile K-340, both niche (kind of rare) cans. Anybody can own a SR-225 or K-701 (budget willing). The typo is irrelevant to the sound and cache of having a limited edition headphone. The typo will add to the legend as time goes on. Thanks to John and Todd for doing this again. Very much looking forward to receiving my HF-2's. I hope they are 1derful.

How about some more versus comparisons? I'd particularly love a good MS2i comparison.

ditto on that, for some reason despite how glowing the HF2 reviews have been, I just can't seem to want to get rid of my MS2i

I have read comments about a short cable on the HF2, can someone specify how long the cable is in feet?
Thanks,
JD

Yes, they are shorter than in the past. A quick measure shows 7'........and be aware that when you order a full-out mod. at Headphile, the length selected by the majority of customers is 6'. So, to me, the new 7' length on HF-2 works very well since my listening is either from a desk chair, or a recliner with computer/amps, etc. alongside......I had read the same post as you and you must wonder how the individual measured the length - from the cups as it should be, or at split.

I did not compare HF-2 and MS2i directly since I sold both of my MS2i's sometime ago, so please take a grain of salt.
I always thought MS2i's sound a little bit dry, and HF-2 is easier on ear, sound fuller especially in lower frequency and it has more detail. To my ears, HF-2 is clearly a step up.

Well, there is an old an old saying "that no good deed goes unpunished". Todd and John have been trying to do the right thing for no other reason then to give back to the community. The griping, the engraving flaw, the complaints, the cancelled orders, the phone calls received to find out where people are in line, all those things have been their punishment. I for one feel bad that things have worked out like this, they're good guys trying to do good things (they've succeeded by the way) I want to thank both of these fine gentlemen and wish them, as well as the rest of the community "happy listening"!

What I wrote was not a take it or leave it proposition - at least not with an attitude. I gave everyone the opportunity to cancel their orders - or keep them and get a headphone that is underpriced for its performance and was GIVEN to this community out of friendship. A few have questioned our integrity and I will not even bother addressing that. Anyone who knows John Grado or me personally or have done business with us knows better. To those of you who canceled your orders - I have no hard feelings and hope you do not either. To those of you who have kept your orders ( the vast majority) I say Thank you!!! As for the $10 - it is going to Head-Fi and so it is being given back to the customers - just indirectly. Every one who ordered one is a member here and will benefit from the sale by being able to be part of this community. The $10 is from John Grado and TTVJ has nothing to do with that donation. I am grateful to all those who are participating in this event and look forward to serving you and reading your impressions. Todd |

I might have to buy them today, even though I'm like £100 short :/ I just hope my parents will say yes since I need a credit card and that. Thing is I believe in Performance>Looks, especially how these are going to stay inside my house at all times. As long as these sound good for my first pair of cans and that they sound completely different compared to my IE8s, I'm happy.
